Why Twilight is not entirely bad (written oleh a forever HP fan)

Before anda start reading, I'd like to say this is my personal opinion. Maybe I'm wrong. If I am, I'd appreciate anda don't get mad because I don't like fighting. It wasn't meant to be rude, mean atau hurtfull to anybody.

For me Twilight was too easy to read. I could predict what would happen and the plot was too easy. The thing is, the plot isn't bad. vampire exist, that's cool. anda know one, yes, very cool. But the way Stephenie Meyer introduces it, how she developed her characters, how she modeled the vampire species, that is where Twilight gets people annoyed. It represent the iceburg that sunk the titanic, the heal that killed Achilles...

Us Harry Potter fan wouldn't be as hateful if the Twilight characters were as real and developed as J Rowling's, if the characters weren't *poof* beautiful, attractive, smart, strong and if the plot was something truly well thought off.

Okay Harry Potter fans, imagine Twilight didn't exist. Rowling released a series about vampires. The heroine is a girl who falls in love, after years of friendship with a vampire. They get married, the end.

anda find in this 'Rowling's twilight' an elaborate plot. There is a logical porblem, climax as climatic as it gets, a twist that nobody could have expected.

The girl isn't a Bella. It's a Hermione, atau a Ginny. She refuses to play weak and defenceless she stands oleh herself and doesn't depend. This sceries could be alright, no?

That's because the idea behind Twilight isn't bad. I just wish somebody other then Meyer would have gotten the idea and how it would've been developed more. If Harry Potter, Hermione Granger, Ginny and Ron Weasley's personalitites and characters would've been the Twilight vampires, we'd ALL be gaga for this new series.

What's wrong with Twilight, it isn't the diea of vampires.

It's how theese vampire are, and how Bella is portrayed.

ps. I,m not saying Meyer is a bad writter. Everybody needs constructive critisism for her first time writting. If she writes agian I'll surely try it. This is also one of my first artikel and I,m not very old, so please keep that in mind.

LilRavenclaw95 I agree. Unfortunately, Rowling didn't write Twilight. So it is essentially 99.8% bad. But the idea was nice! (minus sparkling. In the words of my history teacher, "It's wrong, and before you get on my case about it, it is not a friggin' manly sparkle.") But it was a good idea.

HecateA Agreed. Sparkling is 1 element of the story, its not bringing the whole story down!

TeamSiriusBlack I agree. I don't like how the characters are portrayed or how weak the females look. The characters need more background for me and the plot has to be strengthened. If someone else had written it, then maybe I would've liked. Also, what annoys me is that there's no violence. Yes, it teaches that you can solve your problems by talking, but sometimes, you just can't. Sometimes people just fight to solve something. Meyer also needed to put more challenges in. Not everything is going to turn out alright. Great article though :) It's very true.
