Ok, imagine this anda are misty coming back several years later to meet a childhood friend and when anda arrive anda realize he's no different. I my self have heard many retarded things like he's a vampire atau a real hysterical one a spirit.No he's neither see Pokemon just wanted to keep ash forever as a icon but wouldn't anda think its weird if a friend anda left as an adolescent never aged a bit? POOR MISTY is all i gotta say. But theirs a lot of weird things in Pokemon like the 38+ Officer Jennys and nurse joys

Taika Hey,you know,the show actually points out two times which show that at least a year has passed,in hoenn and in johto.When celebrating their anniversary in hoenn,ash told pikachu it had been a year since they had first met.And in johto,when ash,misty,and brock are returning to some place,they said it took a year to get back.And counting the amount of months that have past and the duration of time in pokemon,ash is,in reality,sixteen to seventeen years old.Just a little fun fact!
Taika Also,you wanna know something weird?How come it's always spring or summer in pokemon?It's like the seasons never change!

TheStriatonTrio As a note about what Taika said, they also say at the beginning of every new Pokémon anime Ash is a ten year old trainer. So, wouldn't in retrospect, he really be about a teenager by now if Pokémon actually had logic? Or does Pokémon have a different aspect on "birthdays" than us?
sameera62 He's always been ten, but he looks a little bit older in XY and the last time he was confirmed to be ten was the beginning of BW. So maybe he's finally aged a little? It's a long shot, but not impossible. Misty's forever ten as well, though. XD
