Hugh was already ready for the awards tampil and he was patiently waiting for the limo to come and pick him up. He still had doubts about that night. He was thinking about calling in sick, just like he did one time he and Lisa got into a fight and he couldn’t stand to look at her being mad at him in public. So, he had proved himself that he was a coward that day, and called in sick. Lisa actually played it all well for public. She even made jokes about how it would be funny if he won that night when he was “sick” and people seemed to buy everything she said.
Yes, he could call in sick once again. But he decided he won’t, he needed himself not to be a coward for once in his life, he needed to face her. God, he needed to see her lebih than anything! However, he didn’t know if he could trust himself on staying calm selanjutnya to her, considering it would be the first time they’ll talk for 3 months, even if it’s just for interviews. And there’s a part where they would have to sit together. The hardest part of all.
Lisa was already at the red carpet. She always used to come little before Hugh, just to get all the pictures done. She liked that. She liked dressing up and posing for the cameras. But not that day. Maybe it had to do with something that the first time after seven years Hugh wasn’t there to tell her little before she got into the limo to get to the awards, that she looked beautiful. She missed that.
There was an unusual fuss going on around her, everyone was shouting her name, some photographers were yelling at her, asking pertanyaan about how she felt about the nomination. She felt a little uncomfortable, remembering how Hugh must have felt all those years, but the fuss suited her and she didn’t feel she deserved it.
If she hadn’t got in an affair with Hugh, if she hadn’t got all fed up with their relationship, with it going nowhere, if she hadn’t got pregnant, if she hadn’t decided to quit House, she wouldn’t have got those brilliant episodes, she wouldn’t have got this nomination. So, she felt she didn’t deserve it.
Cameras where still flashing around her. She turned around a little bit, just to tampil off her bare back and as she did, she saw someone coming out of the limo at the beginning of red carpet. Yes, it was Hugh. The moment she saw him, she knew this was going to be a night to remember.
