A&O 2 (with critic reviews)

LillyOmega2 This is too well done to be photoshopped or anything. Not even I could do this and I've been using GIMP for almost 8 years. Plus the other DVD cover of A&O2 I found credits Chris Carmack as Garth and Vicki Lewis as Eve. And A&O2 is supposed to be re-released at the same time A&O4 is released, so this could be the re-release we're getting.

There had been something about it being re-released with A&O4. @TimberHumphrey: I can assume to release A&O2 in a double pack with A&O4 since A&O2 is the more popular of the two current sequels and A&O4 is highly anticipated.

LillyOmega2 I'm not even sure if theaters will show 45 minute movies like A Howl-iday Adventure, The Great Wolf Games, and Legend of the Saw Tooth Cave.

TheChriZ1995 If you remember back when PGS or whatever company acquired the rights back in January they did list A&O 2 for another release. This company is based in France so perhaps this is going to be sold there. Also it lists the voice actors of Garth and Eve at the top, interesting...

LillyOmega2 @TheChrisZ1995: That takes me back to the poster I found of A&O2 with some of the old cast members listed on the back (Danny Glover, Vicki Lewis, Brian Donovan, Chris Carmack, Kevin Sussman). Maybe not as many of the old actors as we thought were replaced? But Shakey (Kevin Sussman) isn't in A&O2, so maybe he voiced one of the rogues who took Runt?

LillyOmega2 @wwwarea: I never thought of that. But most re-releases are either: 1. Re-release an old movie (which A&O is not) to re-spark interest. In this case, it would be re-releasing a rather new movie to re-spark interest. 2. An anniversary release such as how The Land Before Time was re-released in 2008 (20 years after it's original 1998 release), if I remember right, in higher definition or something. But no modifications to the animation were made, not that it needed any.

Kitsune32 If they re-released the three previous movies plus Legends of the Saw-Toothed Cave, it probably give the series attention again. It'd be awesome if pre-order the fourth movie gave you downloadable versions of the other movies :3 But I guess pre-order bonus is only for video games.

tehrealkatewolf I'd love to see the original released in theatres again, but of course there would be no reason for that to happen...

TimberHumphrey to be honest here, i did see the critic who said both A&O 1 and 2 were "a howling good time", but i haven't seen the critic who called A&O 2 "bags of laughs" and give it a 5/5

LillyOmega2 @wwwarea: The screenshots on Lionsgate's website look better because they're probably HD screenshots, not what you'd get on a normal DVD but Blu-ray. (I wouldn't know though - I don't even own any Blu-ray movies.) I didn't see any shading issues with the original or the second - the first is fine the way it is and the second just needs to be more realistic like the first and fourth movies. But the third has shading issues - a lack of shading, I should say. I've always been bugged by how much brighter than the third is than the first two and the fourth (based on the trailer of A&O4). And, especially with the budget Lionsgate gives the creators of A&O, I doubt any film studio would spend money to increase the quality of a movie's animation, especially when it doesn't need it. (Also, the only modification to The Lion King made in its re-release was being made into a 3D movie. Nothing else.)
