Epilogue

The selanjutnya five years of Humphrey’s life passed quickly. He had become good friends with Salty, Mooch, and Shaky and they rarely did anything alone. One day, toward the beginning of fall, Humphrey decided to tampil them something he had been meaning to for a while but had never gotten the chance to. He led them up to a bukit, hill near a waterfall and he found a sturdy logboard for them. The four went hurtling down the bukit, hill when Salty, Mooch, and Shakey were thrown off and only Humphrey was left. And then, suddenly, he saw Kate leaping through the air as he went flying off a ledge.

Humphrey abandoned the logboard and leapt toward Kate. The two spun around in the air until they came crashing to the ground. Unfortunately, Winston soon arrived to take Kate to alpha school. As she left, Salty, Mooch, and Shakey joined Humphrey at the bottom of the hill. It was the last time he would see Kate for quite a while as she wouldn’t be back until spring.

Winter passed and spring had soon arrived. Humphrey and his trio of friends were once again logboarding down a bukit, hill when they suddenly crashed into a rock and were thrown from the log. The four serigala landed on puncak, atas of each other with Humphrey stuck on the bottom of the self-proclaimed “wolf pile”.

Humphrey pulled himself out from underneath his friends and looked around at the valley below them. It was warm out, the sun was shining, and he could see the green of the rumput and plants.

“Spring,” he said, smiling.

Something caught his eye down in the valley. He looked down and saw Kate wandering below him.

“Whoa,” he said. “Look who’s back from alpha school.”
