Brandt’s POV
Another day, this one felt better. Somehow. I yawned as I got up and stretched, looking down at Kia. She was still sleeping but she looked so beautiful. I stalked out and stood to feel the sun’s first rays then shook my pelt. I walked out and patrolled my territory before putting up scent markers then going to see how much of the meat there was left.
When I got back there was plenty left so I began to eat. It was about this time that Kia woke up and came over to me and ate as well. We just sat there in silence before she finally asked “What’s wrong?” Now, it was a normal pertanyaan but what she really meant was ‘Why have anda been so depressed lately?’
I looked into her eyes and spoke with as much honesty as I could “I’m bored.” I say bluntly. Looking back now, I could have berkata that a lot differently.
Kia looked at me and something in her eyes changed “I see....” is all she says before she gets up and walks away. Leaving me wondering what she was thinking.

I continued my walk through the forest enjoying the peaceful sound of the wind and the birds. “This is how it should be; no constant battles, no strange powers, and no one always plotting against you.” I berkata mostly to myself.
“Now where’s the fun in that, pop?” berkata Blaze coming up behind me “Your api powers were pretty awesome and the battles were epic.” Blaze, so young, so excitable so....ignorant.
I heaved a sigh and sat down, watching him “You forget the deaths and dangers. The powers Grady, Coy, and I had were great and attracted attention we did not want.” I shivered when I remembered the time when Coy and me were corrupted and used against Grady and the rest.
Blaze just rolled his eyes and went to tackle a pohon stump to only stand upon proudly like he had just defeated some mighty enemy. Before settling himself on the stump and looking at me sternly “Mom is real upset with what anda said.”
“What did I say?” I asked tilting my head as I did. I couldn’t remember saying anything that would hurt atau offend her...
“She says that anda are bored with her.” Blaze replied bluntly and that’s when it hit me. When I berkata ‘I’m bored.’ She took as me being bored with her, with our life together.
Blaze’s POV
The look on my dad’s face was priceless. I knew he had a way of saying one thing and people taking as another which was why I wasn’t mad like any good son would be. I watched him think for a moment before getting up and hurriedly going back to comfort my mom.
I stayed on my stump for a while wishing I had lebih company. Sure, I could’ve gone off away from my parents like my brothers and sister did but something anchored me to stay with them. Sometimes it bothers me that staying with them will my chances of finding a mate but I usually just shrug it off.
Exploring around the thought that always entered my head came around again. Should I tell my mom and dad about my powers? According to my dad there is no way I could have powers because I was conceived after he lost his. Sometimes it’s hard to believe that I have the power of api like my father so I like to test them out. Often.
I parted my jaws and let out a column of flames out into the air, careful not to hit any cheers. I felt so good whenever I was using my powers. I then jumped and spun in mid-air whipping a api slash from tail. I laughed at how easily these moves came to me.
After hunting for a little bit but coming up empty I decided to retreat back halaman awal for the night. As I passed my parent’s sarang, den I saw them sleeping together peacefully letting me know that had made up. oleh the time I got to my sarang, den the sun was setting and while I still had the light I took the time to check my sarang, den to make sure no other creature had been there.
The moon was full tonight so I felt a natural impulse to howl and so I did. I could hear the far sound of other serigala howling as well, even mom and dad. I turned feeling content with my howling to go to sleep when something heavy hit landed on me.
I must have blacked because when I opened my eyes there was pretty serigala with odd blue-grey bulu and green eyes looking at me worriedly “Oh my gosh. Are anda okay?”
I groaned as I got up, my head was killing me “What hit me?”
She seemed somewhat relieved that I wasn’t hurt too bad and sat down with an awkward smile “Sorry about that, I can never get my landings right.”
“Landings? What, did anda jump?” I asked tilting my head
She shook her head “Sort of. I’m a bintang serigala and I have come to deliver a message to a um....Brandt?” She asked, clearly mistaking me for my father.
“Wait wait wait, what’s a bintang wolf?”
“Well, anda don’t have to, like, be a wolf. We are the guardians of secrets and ensure the world’s peace. atau try to anyways, it doesn’t always work out. I don’t know too much about everything, I’m kind of new.” She berkata very honestly. Great, first girl I meet out here and she’s crazy.
“Yeah....I’m Blaze, Brandt’s son.” I decided to go along with this little game of hers.
She smiled at me and nodded “I’m Fera, I guess being his son is close enough so here goes.” Her eyes changed from green to a glowing blue before everything went dark.
I wasn’t knocked out, I felt fully conscious everything was just black. Then a scene of ravaged field with dead serigala and bears. Purple fog covered the ground and api licked at the trees. I recognized the field as the area near my parent’s den. One of things that bothered him the most was that his dad wasn’t there. It disturbed him when he saw not only his body but his mother’s as well. It didn’t take him long to realize that soon his father would leave and he, his mother, and these mystery serigala would be dead without him.

I stared at Fera for longest time and she just seemed....happy? She was walking around outside his den, trying to catch fireflies and enjoying the view from this point “I’ve never been down on the ground before. It’s so fascinating!”
“Were anda sent here to help us?” Maybe I could use her to convince my dad to not do whatever it was he was going to do.
Fera shook her head “Nope. I was only sent to relay the message and observe.”
“Fine. Could anda at least come with me so I may try to help?”
“Sorry, can’t do that either. Now that I have diberikan anda the message I can only watch over and reveal myself to you.” She explained. She walked over and nudged me with her shoulder “Come on, it won’t be so bad. I’m sure anda can do it alone and plus, now anda won’t seem so lonely, with a friend.”
I turned to say something further but she had already gone; nothing left but pawprints.
