Hey, I haven't diposting any menulis on here for all the long while I've been a member, but I thought I'd try posting this little thing I wrote, since when I diposting it other places it was at a slow membaca time. It's only about 1000 words; short, and slightly sad. Inspiration comes from the song "That's Okay" oleh The Hush Sound.

Will They Say Your Name?
oleh Shawna (funnyshawna, longerthanwedo, etc)

It’s a house. It’s dark in appearance but it makes him warm, sitting, Frozen as he is in his silent world. Not a silent earth; he doesn’t think he’s quite a part of the earth. He’s maybe hovering a little, two feet off the ground but two feet away from the sky. Close enough to touch but not able to reach up.

And the sound. Not close enough to hear the sounds from inside the house. He remembers the sound, though, almost. Laughter, he thinks that was it. He thinks there was laughter, but he can’t hear it now. He can’t hear any of it. He can’t hear the earth atau the voices – sweet, sweet sounds – of the people on it. They’re lucky, he thinks, so lucky to have their feet on the solid surface, to have their ears filled with the cacophony of the life around them.

He’s just stuck, floating, not here, not there, not quite in between. He thinks he’s closer to here than there, though. He can see the place that once was his, and he barely catches glimpses of the place he’s headed to. He has no idea where he’s going, but he has his memories – slipping, fragmented memories – of where he’s been.

It’s mostly a feeling of safety that washes over him as he stares, unblinking, at the house. It’s impossible for him, stuck where he is, to feel anything substantial; anything other than loneliness and longing. It’s lebih of a ghost of feeling that floods the ghost of his mind; he remembers feeling aman, brankas here, aman, brankas among the laughter.

He wonders, often, why he’s not still there. As he sits and stares he ponders. Where is he? Where is he going and is it safe, like where he’s been? Why is he caught here, floating as time passes below him and unseen activities continue above?

Why can’t he find his way back?

Maybe it’s because he doesn’t know his way back, because he doesn’t remember how he got here.

He remembers a little, only a little. He remembers dark, but not warm darkness, like the shadows of his house. He remembers noise, but it wasn’t the laughing kind. And he remembers pain. A sharp pain – pain is the sharpest memory he has. But the memory of the pain is only a membagi, split detik long, and then it fades. His memory fades as he remembers fading away. He remembers a voice, resounding as he dissolved. “When you’re gone, will they say your name?” The voice echoes in the emptiness. And then he’s there, here, sitting, watching from afar and unable to hear a thing.

He thinks he’s sure he knows why. His name, it’s the only sound he needs to hear. His name, just once spoken as he waits would mean they cared. Them, the people with the laughter and the faces he almost remembers – he needs them to care. He needs to know that now, though he’s gone, they cinta him the same. He needs to know they won’t just turn away.

“If somebody loved you, they’d tell anda oleh now.”

It’s a voice and he startles to hear it, but he immediately knows it’s from nowhere on earth. This voice, high and sweet and rough all at the same time, comes from right beside him; a piece of sound coming from inside these inches he’s trapped between. It’s inside the inches between earth and sky.

He looks around and he sees her. She’s a women but she’s not substantial. She looks like a reflection of what he feels; colorless and barely there, barely a mind and a shadow of what once was. She has a sad smile on her smoky lips and her eyes stare into his. For a moment he almost sees color in them, but then he blinks and they fade to grey.

“They all turn away when you’re down,” she says, staring out at the landscape and contemplating, looking wise without meaning to.

Her wispy hair curls and glows around her face, forming what looks too much like a halo. That and the smile on her face, they create an illusion of innocence – morbid, twisted innocence – that twirls his thoughts as she tells him they don’t cinta him. They don’t say his name.

He wants to hate her. He wants to take her, the woman and her halo. He wants to shake her and tell her, you’re wrong, they will, they will say my name. He wants to hate her because she’s right.

She turns to him and the blue of the sky shines through the transparency of her cheeks and her hair. There’s a soft shadow of sympathy in her eyes and he can’t hate her, not really. Not when her face is so kind and his emotions are so distant. He’s not sure there’s room for hate in this loneliness.

“Until someone loves you, I’ll keep anda safe,” she promises and her words make their way through his mind, giving him hope but making him question.
“What then?” he wonders because he doesn’t want to know the answer. But he can’t help but want to know his future.

“Then,” she muses, gaze locked with his. “Then, like them, I will give anda away.”

He looks back at the house and begins to doubt whether he’ll ever leave, ever pindah on, ever hear his name spoken from inside his childhood home. But he knows; now he knows that his childhood halaman awal is nothing but bones. Not the house – the house is still standing – but the person he was, that someone is nothing but bones. Powder white bones that won’t let him find his way back. In the corner of his almost-mind, as a passing thought with nowhere to settle, he thinks that maybe they won’t ever say his name.

“You know they won’t say a word.”

He can feel her eyes on the side of his head and he feels like crying because he still desperately needs. He needs, he wants, he needs to hear something from his former home. He needs sound. His world can’t end in silence.

“But, anda know, that’s okay.” Her voice is but a whisper in the air and the floating thought solidifies and he knows. He knows he’s waiting for something that’ll never come. He realizes his waiting is futile and that’s when he begins to feel himself slip away. He floats, higher and higher and the place he knew grows smaller and smaller and as the ghost of his life drifts away he’s scared. There’s fright in his face but he keeps on rising because he knows how.

He knows, that’s okay.

"You have no idea what I've gone through!" the girl tearfully screams at me.
"You're right. I don't. I have no idea what you've gone through, but that doesn't mean I don't care," I say calmly.
"Why would anda care? anda don't even know me."
"And anda don't know me. How would anda know that I don't?"

Kayla hesitates a little before answering.

"Because sometimes, not even being related to someone is enough to make them want to care. My own goddamned mother didn't even stick around long enough for me to remember what she even looks like!"
"Growing up must have been pretty awkward."
"You have no idea,"...

I sat there staring out into the cold city, one of the quirks with flying is anda can go anywhere. I sighed and lay down; the floor was cold at the Empire state. “Why would I try to ciuman her?” I asked myself. I shook my head. “You’re an idiot Hayden” I told myself. She didn’t have feelings for me after 3 days what the hell was I thinking? I asked myself again. Did I even have feeling for her? I mean I’m an malaikat I can’t do the things that most human boys can do. I sighed and got up; the sun was starting to come up, not that anyone in the underworls slept. I looked...

When it comes to relationships, I'm no idiot. I could totally see what was coming. But come on; who didn't?

The new girl and Shaun. Plus he didn't like attack her atau anything when she sat at his table. What was so special about her, anyway?

Sure she was pretty, but there where way prettier girls, who'd each thrown themselves at him, (he wasn't that bad looking, actually) he'd ignored since freshmen year.

I flicked my hair over my shoulder. I could see she liked him too, she'd looked around the cafeteria yesterday and looked way disappointed when he wasn't there.

So I waited a little after...

Later on that hari when I am in my bedroom and Ethan is downstairs watching the game. I lay on my tempat tidur doing nothing but thinking. I hear my name being called I get up and walk downstairs. Ethan is at the door, someone is asking for me. I start to walk towards the door and see Adam he sees me and smiles I smile back. Ethan turns and sees me his expression is anger, he walks away. I walk up to Adam. “Hey, I didn’t see anda at school today” he said. I wondered how he knew where I lived and why was he here. “Ah yeah I’m a bit sick” I berkata putting on a husky voice. “I see that anyway,...

THE POWER OF BECAUSE

You're standing in a long line to pay for your groceries. Which sentence do anda think will get anda through?

1. "May I go ahead of anda please?" Put on a really sincere face.

2. "May I step ahead of anda please, because I'm really late for my doctor's appointment?"

Using the word "because" will get anda closer to 'yes' in almost any circumstance. Why? Because your request is followed oleh a reason, an explanation for the request. If the request is reasonable, then why not say yes?

The word refers the listener to some background, some circumstances, a framework related to the request....

Give away to the morning

Light is here

Look away from the mourning

Is she gone, is she still...?

And let the hari go ahead

Without you

Find a place, a dark space

To hide you

What’s a day, a sunny day

To you?

Fade away, let the your rainclouds

Guide you

There goes the downpour

Long gone your hello...

Find it in you

To make that last stand

It’s a silent drive

It’s her very last one.

Here come the clear skies

There goes your fare well...

Find the casual sun day

Starting with the stumbling wake-up, the strained smile

Smelling the hurried breakfast, bile up her throat

Shrinks away from it, queasy, holding her stomach

Never letting it leave her, the emptiness filling up

Inside her, determined to make it last

Heavy textbooks never all that’s holding her down

Uncertainty sawing through her, the only thing filling

What she considers a burden, but how could hunger

Be so cruel?

It’s drilling into her, snarling, never dulling

Never letting up, just a little longer

A little longer...

She dry heaves, it’s a tiny stall

And the walls are closing...

If anda spend your life wishing to die, willing to end it yourself, even, and the chance was given, would anda take it? If anda had chosen that fate, when your breath became slow and painful, would anda still wish that on yourself? In the shadow of death, would the reality of it dawn on you, when it was just too late?

A life of darkness was not one worth much, to Taylor.

She had been so desperate to die. Willing to do it herself, had it been possible.

She lifted the pisau to her bared forearm.

The flat, cold edge of the blade pierced the pale skin of her wrist. She felt no pain from it.

The midnight...

The flight from New york to Rome took an excrutiatingly long time to land and all the while i was getting lebih and lebih annoyed with Edward. "as soon as we land we will run to Volterra okay." I muttered quickly braiding my hand through Edwards and sighing contentedly.
"I know that it's just what if we are too late?" his voice broke on the word late.
"we won't be i promise." I didn't know if that was true but i was trying to soothe him i better not voice my true opinion out loud. I half dragged a depressed Edward through the terminals and growled sharply as I saw the bright sunlight outside.

Edward and i made the flight to new york with moments to spare.
while the girl scanned our passports through the database i tried to call carlisle. Again.
"Edward your growling stop it." i muttered to low for the human woman to hear.
"right sorry do anda think we will make it in time?" his words were cracked and strained in his effort to keep it together.
"I hope so Edward, I really do." i sighed delicately.
we got to our seats on the plane edward was muttering a stream of profanities.
"It is faster than running." I tried to placate him.
"i know that." he hissed at me.

She reached out and made contact with a brick wall.

Careful not to draw attention to herself, she scaled the building and hurled herself over the lip.

Without pausing, she ran across the rooftops, leaping the small gap between them. The pain was worsening oleh the minute.

She froze, hearing two voices coming from the alley below. She crouched low, peering over the edge, her heightened senses zeroing in on the conversation.

She calculated their positions, and leaped down, her figure a blur. She landed, pinning her first victim down. She clapped her hand over his mouth, stifling his scream. With...

Chapter 2:Getting to know him
Murphy
I spent break alone in the perpustakaan tiring to find a book I've wanted to read for a while-Pride and Prejudice.
It would have been nice to spend break with Savannah, catching up what all happened during the summer, but she had to spend it with her populer friends. I never liked them and they have never been nice to me. I was always too shy and geeky, I guess.
Stacey was the head of the group, the team captain. I remember when I met her-in third grade. She pushed me down to get to the swings first on the playground. That doesn't matter anymore, except that she...

New Smells

The smell. There was nothing like it the first hari at school. I looked to my brother. This was our first school tahun in Maine. The weather was crappy all the time but it was worth it I am not really a night person. Whose to say I have to do everything like my parents. This is the new millennium not 15 hundreds.

My family is different. Other then the fact that we have lived for hundreds of years, we are also vampire. 40 years ago, the human world found out about our world. Slowly rights were made to fit our needs, and schools were open for the young and unadvised. Humans could fall...

    CHAPTER ONE
Ugh. I groaned internally as I woke up. My head was pounding, and broken gambar were swirling around behind my eyelids. I had no idea where I was, atau how I had gotten here. I refused to open my eyes and find out, atau give any other sign that consciousness had found its way back to me again. Not knowing exactly where and when I was was a dangerous business for me. Very dangerous.
You see, the last thing I remember before the blackness hit, is that I was running…
My legs were on fire. They...

PREFACE

The woods were filled with silence and I looked around for any signs of the slayer. As I heard the leaves on the ground rustling, I turned around and there he appeared from the treetops of a nearby pohon and he gave me a sly smile which sent shivers down my spine before slowly approaching me and my jantung was pounding inside my chest. I was vulnerable as there wasn’t anyone to protect me and I knew that I was going to die here, alone. Please let this be over fast, I thought to myself.
Every step that he took towards me was another step closer to death. His long, black hair was flowing...
