……… UGH!
Well, I guess we’re doing this thing now. Birdemic: Shock and Terror is… debatably, a movie that follows two lovestruck young adults, Rob and Nathalie, and any survivors they can find as their small town is attacked oleh ugly CGI birds. And then there is something about romance, birds dive bombing and spitting acid, global warming, and something about funding for security cameras. Man, do I really wanna talk about this movie?.... Well I’m already here, so let’s get into the film.
Now we all know that Birdemic is a bad movie, and that it only has a cult following because of how bad it is. But that doesn’t change the fact that I can’t even enjoy this film ironically because it’s so boring. The birds, they are a riot, I cinta them, but the characters don’t do anything throughout the entire movie. They talk about their jobs, their companies funding, insurance, all that stuff, for half an jam before any actual birds tampil up. There isn’t any hint of the birds attacking except for when Rob and Nathalie go bird watching and see awful CG birds. But most of the film is just prolonging things, from dance sequences to people applauding, even looping the sound again for whatever reason. That parts funny, but most of it isn’t.
The birds, on the other hand, are amazing. They kamikaze people and explode into flames, spit acid that melts people skin, and slice the throats of people with their talons, and all of this is caused oleh global warming. And not to mention they look so bad. And yet, they fascinate me with how awful they look. This movie was berkata to be filmed on a budget of $10,000. It would be inspiring if the movie was any decent. But it did get some following, so I guess it at least has that going for it. But still, whenever the birds aren’t onscreen, I just wanna fast meneruskan, ke depan passed the boring human characters. They all suck and aren’t fun to listen to.
I’m sorry, but I did not find much irony in Birdemic, and this is coming from a guy who loves watching The Room religiously. Birdemic: Shock and Terror has its moments, yeah, but not enough for a detik watching. anda may find some lovely irony in this film, but I just couldn’t.
