in frostbite rose kills two strigoi, and mason dies, and dimitri doesn't accept his offer to be with tasha, because he says his jantung belongs to someone else(rose).
on shadow ciuman some strigoi attacks the academy, and they take some people with them and mason is now a ghost, and rose is the only one who can see him,because she's shadow-kissed and mason tells rose where the strigoi are so all the other gurdians can go and kill them, and then he leaves forever. then dimitri and rose and some other gurdians go to kill them and it turns out that dimitri never comes back out of the cave, some people say that he was killed, but rose knows he's been turned into a strigoi, and she remembers the promise she made to him that if he ever turns into a strigoi, she will have to kill him.
