I think a lot of people started hating on her lately, and she did become a little boring and repetitive, she definitely is one of fan favorites but I think generally Caroline or Kat are more loved and more interesting than our main heroine. So this is actually a great thing. It will be new and fresh and interesting. But I do feel bad for Elena, she didn't want this, but I hope we'll see her change her mind.
