I read somewhere that Mel was born in Mexico so she should at least look half hispanic. Is that true?

Because I can't remember anything like this from the book.

hahaha yes, I agree. But New Mexico is really close to Mexico and it even used to be part of Mexico a long long time ago. I know it can get confusing.
