Two is quite enough. I legit feel there should be disincentives in terms of having more than 3 kids... the world is already overpopulated, we don't need more resource-munchers :/

^ I think there should be disincentives for having more than two kids, not three. Two people have two kids, the kids grow up and each have two kids... That would help the population remain stable. If everybody had three kids the population would grow at a faster rate. And we can't have everybody have one kid - look at what happened to China.

Yeah exactly, 2 kids is "replacement rate", as we used to say in geo. That's the most preferable situation. 3 kids still results in exponential population growth, while 1 kid results in demographic problems regarding age distribution (which in turn adversely affects economic and social factors). Tbh the reason I said "more than 3" is so people would get less annoyed xD
