Can someone do me a HUGE favor?

I'm a writer, and I decided to finish this story that came to me. The setting is Rochester, New York, and later on a town (haven't decided which town) in Washington. The tahun is 1931, which is during the Great Depression. The Depression has a lot of impact on the events in my story, so....if anyone out there knows a lot of facts about the Depression, can anda please answer these pertanyaan for me;

1. How did it impact people's jobs?
2. From a scale of 1 to 10, what was the severity of the Depression?
3. How did it affect New York and Washington?

Just those three questions, atau anything else anda would like to add :)

PLEASE help!!!

Many banks were consequently forced into insolvency; oleh 1933, 11,000 of the United States' 25,000 banks had failed. The failure of so many banks, combined with a general and nationwide loss of confidence in the economy, led to much-reduced levels of spending and demand and hence of production, thus aggravating the downward spiral. The result was drastically falling output and drastically rising unemployment; oleh 1932, U.S. manufacturing output had fallen to 54 percent of its 1929 level, and unemployment had risen to between 12 and 15 million workers, atau 25-30 percent of the work force.-- basically alot of banks got closen,due to the depression and because of that job's and work couldn't be paid and because of that it led to a huge problem
