An essay needs to have a personal opinion/point of view... right?

For example: "I am against assisted suicide"

But can it also randomly be: "I think Elvis Presley is still alive", right?

atau can it also not have any point of view?

Depends what kind of essay is it, expository, narrative, atau persuasive?

Expository = Pick a topic and write an essay on it. Ex.) An essay on Egypt would explain its culture, location, etc.

Narrative = If I remember right it's an essay about anda atau an event in your life.

Persuasive = That's the one in which anda need to pick a side atau stand on a neutral ground and explain why/why not anda are for/against atau stand neutral on your topic. This is the most common type of essay, at least in my school.

Plus I think essays should have at least one point of view. I never heard an essay being without one to be honest.
