Is it illegal to kill a burglar?

Ok I'm really terrified right now. Summer brings two aspects with it that I hate; 1. Allergies. 2. Burglars.
Normally the burglars just steal stuff, but two days yang lalu a girl was raped oleh a burglar in her own bedroom just a few blocks away from my home!

If I keep a pisau in my nightstand and kill the burglar if he's in my room, would that be illegal atau self-defense?

if they is threating anda atau attacking anda it's legal but anything else I'm not sure. It might be safer to call the cops if anda are not in imetiate danger

Self-defense, but anda do want to check on the peculiarities of your country's laws. In the US, it's not been unheard of for burglars to sue the homeowners (and win!) for injuries suffered. I'm not kidding.
