Gasp!
Uggh...Sorry, bad nightmare. It was 6:32 a.m. and it was snowy oustside.
It was natal Eve.
Normaly I would just go back to sleep, but it's too chilly to take a nap. I went out to go swimming. Too bad the pool is frozen. I glanced over to the pinguin, penguin habitat. My mind suddenly flowed with thoughts of Skipper.
Gah!
What am I doing?!?! Skipper doesn't like me. That's too bad. I've always thought I have a chance with him, but I was wrong. He's too in with his training, and not with his social life. I'm wondering if he ever felt the same way...probably not. If he did, he'd probably won't use me as a guinie pig for their 'Love-me-lator'. I can't believe it paired me with that squirrel. Maybe he was hoping it would pair me up with him.
Grrr, I probably shouldn't wonder if he'll ever like me. I bet he thinks I'm stupid, weak, and in the way. But not like that. We're still best friends, but I wish we were more.
I went to their HQ because they didn't go outside today.
"Marlene, anda can't just barge in here like that." yelled Skipper. I was hoping he'd give me a better greeting. Besides, I actually knocked.
"Ello Marlene!" Private greeted me happily, "we're going skating today! Wanna come?"
Kowalski slapped Private at the back of the head. Why? there's nothing wrong with inviting me to go skating. "I would cinta to! but I don't know how to skate." I berkata sadly.
"Marlene, you're such a disapointment to all females." berkata Skipper. I felt like tearing him to shreads. Private was watching me. He probably knew that I find that very insulting and would probably stop me from killing their precious leader. "Maybe another time." I walked out of the HQ, Trying to control my anger.
It was 8 o'clock. I got nothing to do. I kept thinking about him. Maybe I could stop and just write down what I'm feeling:
Skipper,
Everyday I see you,
anda make my jantung soar like a beautiful dove.
When I see a bintang in the sky,
I'm always wishing we were in love.
I look outside my window,
And I see anda outside.
It always pains to keep with me,
What I'm really feeling inside.
Everytime you're not here,
I try to pine away.
But I always knew it will,
Be always here to stay.
And now I'm menulis this poem.
I know, It's pretty lame.
But I wrote this because I kept hoping,
That anda also felt the same.

That felt good, it was corny, but Ok. I kept the paper with me because this expresses my feelings for him. Skipper was no longer in my mind, Is this good atau is it bad? I'm thinking good. It breaks my jantung because I know he doesn't like me. I'm keeping the piece of paper folded on the table. I read it over and over again because when I read it, Skipper slowly fades from my heart.
"Hello Marlene!" Skipper poped out of nowhere. (Why me?)
"Skipper, what are anda doing here?" I asked him. "The rodents are on the loose and I was checking if any hid in here." he said. He put his map of the zoo on puncak, atas of the poem I wrote, but I didn't notice. "But what was I thinking. There's no weapons here atau anything good to steal, so they're not here." he said. He took his map and left the room.
Was that an insult of my room? I don't know why I fell for him in the first place!

I'm glad that's over. Now what? I'm so bored. Maybe I should try the Love-me-lator again.
Nothing made my hari yet. Except that corny poem. Julien was making a party, but he's also waiting for the "Red Goblin" (which is Santa) to come and throw coal at him again. My room is full of Chistmas trees, bells, and gingerbread houses. But there's something missing...I'm lonely.
I decided to visit the penguins.
When I got there, Rico was making the pohon out of ice (Which was weird), Kowalski was wraping presents (which is obviously fish), Skipper was giving orders (as usual), and Private was getting cranberries and eggnog. Everybody was wearing santa hats, Me too but mine was sparkly.
"Hello Marlene. Want to spend the natal here?" asked Skipper. Finally he invited me to do something. "Sure!" I answered happily. I walked over to a cement brick and sat down. This is my first natal here, but I already know what'll happen. They have a whole schedual planned.
"Ello Marlene!" Private walked over here. "This is gonna be a natal to remember!"
"I thought this is always what anda do every Christmas." I said.
"I put something else up!" He giggled and skipped to Skipper. Put something else up? Ehh, it's probably that yellow bintang on the tree.
I'm still not enjoying my Chistmas. I put the presents I gave to them selanjutnya to Kowalski. I stared around the room. Not as colorful as my habitat.

They have a weird way of celebrating Christmas, because I don't think you're suppose to have a schedual. "Well, it's getting pretty late. I better go now." I said. I was sleepy so Skipper helped me walk towards the door. "Can anda stop for a detik Skippa'?" asked Private. "Why is that Private?" he asked. Private pointed up.
The dreaded mistletoe.
We stared at each other for a second. Then...Skipper made a run for it. "RETREAT!" he yelled. I'm guessing he wanted me to do it too. I want to do it, so I tried to make a hasty retreat. But Private tackled me. Why am I so weak? I see Skipper trying to get out of the room, but Rico and Kowalski already pinned him down.
"It IS tradition." berkata Kowalski. "You can't ruin a tradition."
"Watch me!" yelled Skipper. Wow. He really wanted to get out. "Skippa' do it atau I'll tell her your secret!" yelled Private. "What secret!" he yelled. "The ones in your diary!" he answered. "I don't have a diary!"
"Well The Journal under your pillow!"
"Someone get the Journal!" yelled Kowalski. Ok, this is how it looks like trying to betray their leader. atau they just want to see Skipper embarriss himself.
Skipper broke out of the hold and grabed the Journal.(never put a Diary/Journal under your bantal if anda don't want anyone to see it). He ran towards the furnace annd threw it in there. "Ha!" he said.
"It's still tradition!" berkata Kowalski, smiling.
"I still know your secets!" berkata Private, also smiling.
"Mmm-hmm" Mummbled Rico, Also Smiling!
Skipper sighed. I think he gave up. I felt like running, but they'll probably catch me before I'm even halfway out of the room. Skipper pulled me towards the door. He looks nervous, probably getting ready. Wow. Just as I finally got rid of him in my heart, I'm about to ciuman him under the mistletoe. CURSE anda MISTLETOE!
Everyone was staring. Skipper was leaning. I want to get this over with as soon as possible! but just as we were inches away from touching...
"Hello Everyone!" Julien poped out of nowhere. We both jumped back.
"So, what are anda doing?" he asked. "Skipper is getting ready to ki-" Before Private could even fisnish, Kowalski slapped him at the back of his head. "Ringtail get out of here!" yelled Skipper.
"Well I was just...Hey is that a mistle toe?" he asked, "and were anda under it with Marlene?"
"No!" yelled Skipper. "I'm just tampilkan Marlene out."
"Oh good. For a detik there I thought anda were about to ciuman my girlfriend."
"I'm not your girlfriend Julien!" I yelled. I saw my chance and stomped away out of the HQ. Yes! I avoided the mistletoe!

I'm soo glad I'm back home. What a weird Christmas. I wonder if they noticed that I tried to escape? They probably did.
Yawn. I'm getting sleepy now. I put my hat down, and climbed on my bed. I turned of the lights then I slowly...
I heard footsteps. I turned the lights on. And coming out of the shadows is Skipper?
"Skipper?" I berkata in a sleepy way, "what are anda doing here?"
"Well, anda left pretty early. After yelling at Julien, we noticed anda weren't there anymore." he said.
"And?" I asked. Was that it?
"We didn't finish..." Skipper berkata quietly. I couldn't believe my ears. Am I dreaming? "Can we finish?" he asked. I got up slowly...walking towards him...is he really going through this?
"Why do anda even care?" I asked. "I don't know, Maybe...I just want to get this over with." he answered. He held my paw. He's really going through this isn't he. He leaned forward, and I did the same. I closed my eyes because I don't want to see what happens next. Then...it happened.

It's already 10 seconds. He didn't pulled away yet. I was expecting it would last five seconds. I thought if would feel like ciuman a dapur floor but it felt like heaven.
20 detik passed...
He still didn't pull away. It's like he doesn't want to pull away. I know I didn't want to pull away. I wish this lasted forever. But if he won't pull away, I will. I slowly backed away and opened my eyes.
"Well...I gotta go now." he walked out of my room. I stood there. What if this is a dream? If this was a dream, I never want to wake-up. Not ever.
I won't mention this tomorrow. It's just one night. Now I'm depressed. Because tomorrow, when I wake-up, it's as if this never happened...
But I'll never stop believing. I know we'll be together someday. This is just the beginning.
