Hawkeye, and Metal Gloss were driving to work. Hawkeye was still thinking about what happened yesterday with Rachael.

Metal Gloss: What's wrong? anda seem uncomfortable.
Hawkeye: It's the pony visiting from Kansas City.
Metal Gloss: Rachael? What happened with her?
Hawkeye: She wants me to tanggal her, but I told her we were married. I have a feeling she thinks I hate her, but I don't. I just want to be friends with her. What do I tell her?
Metal Gloss: *Leans toward Hawkeye* anda tell her what anda think is right. *Kisses Hawkeye*

Hawkeye's first job for the hari was to work with Rachael. The two of them would drive a freight train to Kansas City.

Rachael: *Waiting oleh the train. Four Union Pacific diesels are the engines pulling their train*
Hawkeye: *Arrives* Hi Rachael. Where's the Gulf Mobile & Ohio diesel anda arrived in?
Rachael: Our railroad sent it back to the GM&O. They sold it to the Canadian National.
Hawkeye: Oh, I see. *Checks his watch* Let's get going. We have to be out of here before 7:05.

They climbed into the cab of their engine. At 7:05, they left. A few menit later, they drove the train up Archer Hill.

Hawkeye: Rachael, I want to talk to you.
Rachael: What do anda have to say?
Hawkeye: We're still friends, right?
Rachael: I don't know. anda tell me. You're married.
Hawkeye: Don't give me that. Listen Rachael, I'm not the only stallion that works on this railway. One day, you're going to find a pony like me, inside and out, and he will be single, waiting for a nice mare like you.
Rachael: Are anda sure?
Hawkeye: Positive. It's going to take some time, but I know it will happen.

They arrived at Kansas City on time.

Hawkeye: Well, this is it. *Stops the train selanjutnya to the yard tower in the train yard* I have to drive a passenger train back to Cheyenne. *Climbs out of the train*
Rachael: *Climbs out of the train* Will I ever see anda again?
Hawkeye: Possibly. *Walks away*
Rachael: *Waits in the yard* Now I have to wait here for another pony to go with me to St. Foalis.
Stallion: *Arrives* Hi. Are anda Rachael McLaren?
Rachael: Yes.
Stallion: We're working together on a freight heading for St. Foalis. oleh the way, are anda interested in going out on a date?
Rachael: anda mean, anda want to be my kuda jantan muda, colt friend?
Stallion: Yeah. I don't have anything fancy planned, but I hope we can have some fun.
Rachael: Yes. *Laughs, and is very happy* Yes, I'd cinta that.
