A komik jepang is a japanese comic book, read from the opposite direction of American buku and their cover is on the oppsite side, which would be the back to us. The Maximum Ride comic series is actually called a Graphic Novel since it is based off the original novels and it indeed not a komik jepang becauseit is read right to left and the cover is facing the direction that American buku are faced.
