Sorry for taking so long to update, I hope anda enjoy this chapter anyway!

‘Liz!’, Hugh yelled after her as she walked to a lunch table. She looked around to see who had called her name and saw Hugh waving her over to his table. She smiled and joined him. ‘Fruit and a salad’, he looked at her plate. ‘Yeah I was hungry so I thought I would get myself a lot of food, although comparing with your plate I still have very little.’ Hugh smirked as he looked at the 6 sandwiches and big bowl of buah-buahan on his plate. ‘Why are anda commenting on my food anyway? I thought anda wanted me to eat more…’ ‘I do, I was just thinking about our… ehm… anda know the thing tonight… because going to a restaurant while you’re stuffed isn’t as much fun…’ Lisa let out a small laugh, ‘Don’t worry Hugh I have a big enough appetite…’ ‘Hmmm… for food?’, he smirked. She gave him a naughty smile then picked up a ceri, cherry and seductively ate it as Hugh’s eyes followed her every pindah and his jaw dropped a little. ‘For food.’, she berkata after she swallowed the ceri, cherry and lightly traced the tip of her tongue over her lips, which had reddened, caused oleh the cherry. Hugh swallowed and quickly brought his eyes back to her eyes not knowing what to say as his brain had just melted. ‘So about tonight… Where are anda taking me?’ ‘Ehhhww, huh?’, Hugh asked still picturing Lisa eating the cherry. Lisa laughed, ‘Where are anda taking me tonight?’ ‘O, ehm… that’s a surprise. I’ll pick anda up at 6.30 though.’ ‘Alright, 6.30 it is.’

At 6.20 Hugh had already gotten to Lisa’s place, but as he thought being early might somehow give the wrong impression so he drove around for another 10 menit before finally pulling into Lisa’s driveway. He quickly picked up the bunga he had gotten for her that afternoon, which had caused him a major headache as he didn’t know that a particular bunga actually carried a particular message which was known oleh every woman, but not oleh every man. The florist had explained the meaning of certain bunga to him after which he had told him he needed a bunga that berkata ‘You’re-my-best-friend-and-maybe-even-a-little-more’. At which the florist suggested either lilies atau yellow, white and berwarna merah muda, merah muda roses. Lilies carried the message of finding someone very nice, pure, sweet and almost angelical, while yellow mawar meant friendship, berwarna merah muda, merah muda mawar secret cinta and white mawar innocent cinta and trust. Hugh liked the meaning of the lilies, but as he also knew they were often used at funerals he thought it would be better to give Lisa a bouquet of roses. A little scared that Lisa might know what the berwarna merah muda, merah muda mawar meant he bought a beautiful bouquet of white and yellow roses, thus carrying the message of friendship, trust and innocent love.

He nervously walked to her front door and rang her bel, bell as he fidgeted a little with his suit. Lisa opened the door and smiled as she saw Hugh standing in front of her. ‘Hey, come in.’, she smiled happily. Hugh scanned her body with his eyes and couldn’t help but gape a little at the sight in front of him. She wore a simple dark blue dress, that showed her curves nicely and ended just above her knees. Her heels had the same color with a small silver buckle on them. Then there was the kalung and the earrings, both silver and simple but gorgeous. ‘You-you… look amazing.’, he stuttered a little while Lisa blushed at his comment. ‘So anda like it?’ ‘God yes,… I mean ehm.. yes, anda look beautiful.’ Hugh was still trying to restore himself as Lisa’s gaze went from his eyes to the flowers. ‘Are those…’ ‘O yes, these are for you.’, Hugh handed Lisa the flowers. Lisa smiled as she saw the colored mawar and was happy to see that the mawar where yellow and white. She didn’t know if Hugh knew the meaning of the different warna of roses, but she couldn’t help but smile.

They walked to the car and Lisa could sense Hugh was nervous about tonight, which she actually found kind of sweet but for his sake she knew she should relieve at least a little of the tension. She squeezed his arm lightly so he turned to look at her, ‘It’s just me Hugh, plus you’re doing great.’ Hugh visibly relaxed and nodded slightly as a smile began to tuck at the corners of his lips as he realized that he was now on a tanggal with Lisa. ‘I saw anda didn’t bring the Porsche.’ ‘No, I hope anda don’t mind, but I thought this car went better with the restaurant we’re going to.’ ‘And which restaurant might that be?’, she smirked. He smirked back as he knew how curious she was about it but he wanted it to be a surprise, ‘That’s for me to know and for anda to find out, but don’t worry it’s not some kind of stake-house.’ ‘Well that’s good, is it far away?’ ‘Uh-uh not going to tell you.’ ‘Not fair.’ ‘Might be, but anda know as well as I do that anda like it better this way.’ She smiled, he was right, she generally didn’t like surprises, because she would get all riled up and then disappointed with the actual surprise, but with Hugh it was different. He never ceased to amaze her.

When they were only two blocks away from the restaurant Lisa’s smile started to grow wider and wider. ‘You remembered.’ Hugh looked over at Lisa and just smiled as he parked the car. ‘Not so hard when anda tell me about their vegetarian kari every chance anda get.’, he teased as he opened the door for her. ‘Which I’m definitely going to order.’ Hugh smiled as Lisa grab his arm and hold on to it. Hugh gave her a curious but loving smile, ‘Fake atau not, we are on a date.’, Lisa replied as Hugh just nodded and led her to the entrance of her favorit restaurant in LA, ‘Blair’s’.

‘Mr. Laurie, Miss Edelstein, good evening and welcome at Blair’s.’, the guy at the entrance, named Mark, welcomed them in. They both smiled politely at the man. ‘May I please take your coats.’ Hugh nodded and gave Lisa a meaningful look as she nodded and let Hugh take her coat. Hugh handed their coats to Mark and after putting them away safely he led them to their table. Hugh had specifically asked for a meja in one of the lebih quiet corners of the restaurant so they wouldn’t be overwhelmed oleh people recognizing either one of them and could just enjoy their dinner. Hugh had only been here once before, with Lisa, but also accompanied oleh Robert, Jesse, Jennifer and Omar. He had immediately seen why Lisa had liked the place, it was not too casual, but not too flashy atau chic either, plus the food was amazing. The one time he had been their they had been seated in another less romantic corner, then they where now, he actually liked this corner better.

The soft light of the candles fell into her eyes and made them sparkle even lebih than before, he had to be careful not to drown in those beautiful grey-blue eyes, they were so perfect, so full of life and emotion. Lisa mumbled a soft thank anda to Mark for tampilkan them their seats, which Mark replied to with a nod and the offer of a free drink for the both of them. ‘I’d like some pineapple juice.’, Lisa said. ‘And for you, sir?’, Mark asked. ‘I would like an ice-tea please.’, Hugh gave the man another polite smile as he turned to walk away. Hugh immediately turned back to look at Lisa again who gave him an adorable smile, ‘Thank you.’ ‘Hmm?’ ‘For bringing me here and the bunga and everything… I don’t know how the rest of this evening will go but I really don’t understand why any women wouldn’t be thrilled to go out with you. You’re really thoughtful, gentlemanly, but in an exciting kind of way.’ Hugh blushed at her words as she quickly tried to change the topic feeling that maybe she was losing the control on her feelings a little.

‘My worst tanggal huh? That’s hard… just let me think…’, Lisa laughed as they were telling stories while eating dinner. Lisa had indeed ordered the vegetarian kari while Hugh ordered the regular one. ‘You never been on any bad dates?’ ‘O plenty, that’s why it’s hard to actually pick the worst one.’ He smiled, ‘You already know mine, I don’t know what Robert was thinking sending me on a tanggal with Mindy.’ Lisa laughed at the memory. ‘Yeah, you’d almost think he set anda up on purpose.’ ‘Hmm, I certainly hope that’s not true for his sake.’, Hugh winked. Lisa returned it with a bright smile. ‘But now yours, anda think of one yet?’ ‘Yeah, it’s really a long time yang lalu though, but I think it’s definitely the worst one. I was 23 years old, living in New York and me and my friend would go out almost every night.’ ‘Ahh, you’re Party-girl years…’ ‘Well yeah… I met this guy in a club, Ron was his name I believe, he was about 26 and he asked me if I would like to go on a tanggal sometime. He looked very cute and we had talked for a while and I kind of liked him so I berkata yes. Which was a big mistake. The thing was that I had never been to that particular club before as I always thought it was kind of dull, but my friends had dragged me there. What I didn’t know was that Ron always hung out in that club trying to get dates… for other guys. When he asked ‘would anda like to go on a tanggal sometime’, he didn’t mean a tanggal with him, but with some other guy who had paid him a butt load of money for it. Anyway I ended up on a tanggal with a 58 tahun old very odd smelling and funny looking guy in a restaurant, which I’m sure of is the reason hepatitis A still exists, trying to get away as fast as possible. But of course that didn’t go so well as on the way from the bathroom to the entrance I fell, broke my heel, ripped my dress so bad anda could see my, what I thought was cute, Mickey mouse underwear and sprained my ankle so bad I couldn’t walk anymore. So there I lay on the ground very embarrassed as the only option I had was to ask this guy I just tried to ditch to help me get to the hospital.’

Hugh couldn’t help but let out a small chuckle at Lisa’s story. ‘Yeah anda laugh, just wait till anda hear the end of it. He picked me up, but I was already getting nauseous, both oleh the appetizer I had eaten and the pain coming from my ankle so when I got so close to his… well smell… I vomited all over him. He put me in a cab to the hospital, but they wouldn’t accept me as I had forgotten my health insurance card. Anyway, 4 cab rides and 200 dollars later, because I vomited in one of the cabs, I finally got my X-rays after which they taped my foot up and gave me hospital pants and a shirt, which they told me I could keep as it was probably hard enough for me to get enough money for makan malam every day.’, Lisa ended then looked up at Hugh who nodded and smiled at her apologetically. ‘I guess anda win, you’re tanggal with smelly guy was definitely worse than mine with Mindy.’
