Mistletoe and Wine
My natal present for all the peacefully coexisting Hulis here. As requested in the forum, a mistletoe story for your membaca pleasure.
Annotation: For this story, Hugh has been divorced for about five months. And FYI, Jo filed for divorce and there were no considerable hard feelings on both sides.
Excuse the occasional typo but if anda find one anda might want to keep it and raise it yourself until it's a full-grown story on its own :)!

Monday, Dec 14 7.00 a.m.
The [H]ouse set was buzzing. Imagine a beeyard and add a good deal of craziness, deadlines, arguments and a nice share of laughter, multiply oleh ten and anda might get a remote picture of what it looked like. It was the last hari of shooting before the natal break and the whole cast had made an appearance, regardless of the fact if they actually had to work atau not. The PA's were busily carrying clip boards and underlining mysterious sentences on their to-do lists, the lighting crew struggled with a dysfunctional spot and security tried to keep away a massive number of fangirls who would do about anything to witness a shooting.
Most of the cast was still chatting in the cafeteria, waiting to be prepared for the selanjutnya scene. The talk which was periodically interrupted oleh waves of laughter was mainly revolving about slowly rising anxiety attacks on the guys' end when their female co-worker explained at length why they couldn't buy their girls a set of pans and annoying but mandatory natal songs...
Jesse: Olivia, if anda know Britney Spears' 'Lucky' oleh heart, I bet anda can sing 'Last Christmas' without even so much as a flinch!
Olivia: Not that I'm denying that, but--
Jesse: Now you've done it. If I ever need to see a therapist, this very moment is on puncak, atas of the daftar why!
The festive season placed on puncak, atas of the usual excitement an extra buzz no one could elude, not even the weather since continuous rain was as close as L.A. would ever get to snow. Everyone's mind was fast-set on tonight's natal party which would not take place at a restaurant atau a bar but at their very Princeton Plainsboro Teaching Hospital. David pantai and Katie Jacobs had figured that the location would be the extra perk on their party. Almost humming with pleasure, the group slowly dissolved and everyone went back to their respective trailers to get all set and ready. This hari would fly oleh and as it was only half a hari of shooting per se, even faster.
1.00 p.m
martini shot:
[Wilson enters House's office but stops dead when he sees House and Cuddy are having an argument]
Wilson: I'm sorry to disturb. Am I interrupting something?
[House and Cuddy unisono]
House: Yes!
Cuddy: No!
Wilson: Obviously. I'll just come back later.
Cuddy (in a 'You're not going anywhere'-tone): anda were not interrupting anything. I was just about to leave anyway.
Wilson: Okay, but then I still gotta fetch a scarf and a tupai called Scrat sine the temperature in here is approaching Ice Age!
Lisa was barely biting back a chuckle at this mental image and grinned at Hugh with her back to the camera. Hugh seized the opportunity.
Hugh (dead-serious): Oh, I bet Robert would look just darling with a pompom hat!
Lisa (not missing a beat): Add a lollipop to the picture and I'll have him gift-wrapped and UPSed to the 1970s and an ideal world!
Hugh (grabs one of House's tademark lollipops from the puncak, atas drawer of his meja tulis, meja and throws it to Robert): There better be no diabetic around, cause this image is sickly su-heeet!
The whole cast erupted into laughter and Robert stood at the door, dumb-founded and sporting a mock pout on his face. He did catch the lollipop though.
Greg: anda kids, back into character! I guess we can use the first half. Let's do this one lebih time and then we'll call it a day. I expect anda to tampil up at the conference at 3 today! Okay, everyone, back on your marks and focus!
3.30 p.m., after the conference
When Lisa and Hugh exited Conference Room 23 together, they were still wrapped up in discussion.
Hugh: Makes anda think, doesn't it? One of our crew leaking stuff? Doesn't it spoil all the fun about watching a TV show?
Lisa: From what Greg berkata the fan don't actually see it as spoiling, lebih like the silver lining on the horizon. I can actually comprehend what makes them so eager about getting some news. It's not like we've diberikan the majority of them a lot to dwell on.
Hugh: But I guess it'll always become worse before they'll calm downn. Thank God we're on a hiatus now and will be after the finale (he chuckles).
Lisa: I suspect we won't have to wait until the ultimate blow-up, I can already hear them raging after episode 14. They are going to rip Cuddy into metaphorical pieces (she sighs).
Hugh: Oh, come on. You're way too stunning to be taken to pieces. (he grins slyly) Plus you've got the strong and manly P.I. Lucas to distract yourself from all the uproar--
Lisa: Now anda come on, you're gloating! Jealous because of the mandi, shower scene?
Hugh: House? Veeeery.
Lisa smacked Hugh lightly on the arm.
Lisa: So, I'll see anda tonight?
Hugh: Behold the queen of subtle topic transition...- Course, it's thrown oleh David and Katie, it'll be fantastic. Not that I will remember much about it oleh tomorrow but that's kind of the point, right?!
Lisa: You're insufferable, Hugh (laughs). So, who are we going to pair up Robert with tonight?
Hugh: Debbie from accounting, definitely!
Lisa (ironically): It's amazing how anda can always keep track of what's fact and what's fiction (chuckles).
Hugh: I wouldn't want it any other way. anda better watch out atau someday I'll be making inappropriate komentar on your wardrobe atau certain House-ian parts of your anatomy (his voice trails off)--
Lisa (laughing wholeheartedly): Don't anda dare!
