I can relate to him, his actions make logical sense, he's not creepy...

He is smart and brave but has his flaws he does not push his friends to do what he wants.

I don't find Edward to be creepy at all.
I don't think he's abusive.
He's persistant.
I admire his personal values.
I like the way he words everything he says.
I admire his self control and compassion
And so on.

I don't think anything of Harry.

no, overreaction is what makes the readers dislike edward but I don't think it's what smeyer intended, in fact, edward doesn't react to the fact that his family is in danger at times which I find another reason the crap is unrealistic

Eddy's words are corny, people might think it's sweet, but honestly who says that stuff? I know he's like in the 1800's or whatever but I'm pretty sure people from the 1800's don't talk like that. "And so the lion fell in love with the lamb." And other quotes that nobody can relate to. Harry's dialouge is much more easier to relate to.

Edward's overreactions was an intentional flaw. There was a line in one of the books that goes something like "Haven't you noticed that Edward is a tiny bit prone to overreaction?" That was obviously written by Stephenie Meyer, since, you know, she wrote the book.

Harry has flaws, he's normal, like yeah he's a wizard but he's just a normal teenager,unlike 100-something year old Edward.I can relate to Harry more than Edward, making it easier to like him

He's brave, loyal and self sacrificing, he'll always be there for the people he loves. He also gets over hard times.

Because Harry Potter is AMAZING and NOT a 100-year-old man posing as a teenager, who dates 17-year-old mortal muggles :P

Uh hello! it's all about the character, baby! and Ewwwward is as two dimentional as paper.

He's The Boy Who Lived. He saves lives. Talks to snakes. Does homework. Wreaks havoc. Kills evil in its purest form. Y'know, that kind of stuff. =P

Twilight is how important it is to have a boyfriend. Harry Potter is overcomming evils.

Harry is the kind of imperfect hero: everyone expects from him much more than he thinks. He has been bullied, he has a temper, he has losed and met failure, he has been so loyal to his friends could even die for them, he's brave, but also makes big mistakes, he's not very mature for his age, not the smartest, nor the most gifted wizard, and the fact that he was the only survivor of the Avanda Kedavra is not because of his endless powers, but because of his mother satisfaction.

Only SOME of the reasons I find Harry the best.

Harry: A boy who was destined to be in war from the moment Voldemort chose him. He has flaws, he isn't described as "perfect" on every other page of the books, in fact he's not, not everyone likes him and he isn't extremely magical. Though he's a good friend, loyal and brave enough to die so that everyone can live. I've seen people say "If Harry Potter is so magical, then why can't he fix his eyesight?"
Well number one, eyesight isn't something that can be fixed in the wizarding world, and number two, he isn't as magic as everyone thinks he is. No one really knew what happened the night his parents died, until we find that it was his mother's love that protected him from death, not any special magic powers. The fact that he was brave enough to give up his life for others is much more impressive than giving up your girlfriend to "protect" her.

Edward: He's attractive to Bella, multi-talented and a sparkly super pale vampire that watches a girl he JUST met in her sleep. He's possessive and scary, yet described as "perfect" or "a god" on every other page. His eyes, his skin, his mouth, his face, his body, his hair, his BREATH is described as perfect, and a character should not be perfect if you want it to be effective. A character should have flaws, and not be so handsome that everyone hates Bella. He stops Bella from seeing her friend because he's possessive and jealous.

To sum it up: Harry - flawed, brave, loyal.
Edward: "Perfect" but a stalker and possessive.

Harry: He is brave, loyal and is willing to sacrifice himself for the ones he loves and even for his enemies, he is a real good model and is not a stalker like edward :D

I just find him more interesting, plus I grew up with the Harry Potter Series.

J.K. Rowling's good at making us relate to Harry, and Meyer doesn't really do that...

Harry Potter.
He doesn't kill innocent people.
Unlike Edward.

I feel more of a relation to him, and I feel like he has more built to him. Reading about Edward left a hallow feeling for some reason. Harry just leaves a stronger mark.

Harry:
with all his bad childhood he still grew up to become a boy with great attitude toward live. he is brave, tough not without flaw. yet i can relate to him because all of his mistake is something human especially for teenager (hormon and all that). he always loyal to his friend even when there is a little 'fight' between them. mainly with ron.
sometimes maybe he came off as self-righteous and blame everything but himself but the more the story unfold he learn from his past mistakes to become a better man.
unlike what everybody think he is not the 'perfect hero' and he had his fair share of mistakes and bad judgement. he never want to be anything but just another boy, maybe with his parents still alive. he is not judging people by their wealth but by how they treat other people.

in the deathly hollow he willingly sacrifice himself even without knowledge that he will be able to return. and when he could choose to stay in the afterlife with his parents, he choose to go back to help his friends.
