Displacement and conquering have gone on for an awfully long time. The Maori certainly don't have clean hands in this. I feel badly for them, but I don't think we can call the process good or bad. It just is.

Yes, I agree with you. I thought this might be an interesting topic for discussion, however. I think, perhaps, that the British may have gone another way about it, but it is indeed something that happened in the past and maybe not fair, but, as you say, Whiteflame, it certainly just is.
