People keep saying that if Damon and Elena become a couple; Stefan and Damon's relationship as brothers will always be broken. My alternative ending to The Vampire Diaries below, shows otherwise.

Damon returns to Stefan after talking to Elena.

Stefan: She chose you.. Right?

Damon: Yes, I'm sorry brother.

Stefan: Don't be. anda deserve her lebih than I do.

Damon: No, I don't. I've done so many things, just to hurt her.

Stefan: You're wrong, Damon. She's the girl you've always loved.
If there's someone she needs and should be with, it's you.

Damon: I'm happy she chose me but it doesn't feel right.

Stefan: Why do anda think she always forgave you? And took your side all the time?
It's because she loves you. Even when she was with me, she loved you.
Elena has always loved you, Damon. Even when she berkata that she didn't. Trust me.

Damon: But... anda cinta her, too. I don't want to steal her from you.
*whisphering* I don't deserve her.

Stefan: No, Damon, I loved her. But not as much as I thought I did. I know my destiny,
I'm supposed to be with Caroline. For she is to me, what Elena is to you.

Damon: Are anda sure it's ok?

Stefan: Yes. It's ok, I promise.

Damon: Thank you, Stefan.

Stefan: You're welcome.

Damon won't tell me anything until we're back at the hotel. I'm scared but I don't know why. I just know that Damon saw something out there and it worried him. And if Damon is worried then it must be bad.
There are way too many people standing about in the hotel lobby to discuss what happened without being overheard, but we manage to find another room that is miraculously empty and pull the door shut.
"Damon, what's going on?" There are a lot of things I don't know, but it seems to me that the api at the Salvatore mansion, the break-in at Stefan and Damon's new apartment and Stefan disappearing...

At first glance, 3x16 might not look like a reason for celebration: DE only exchanged a brief, tense scene at the beginning, and Damon seemed to have regressed to his former, Mr. Mean Season One 'I should give a damn, but I don't' ways. Now, I'm fairly sure that ordinarily, half the DE fandom would be banging their heads against the dinding right now, cursing the producers and staff writers for ensuring that Delena suffered yet another set-back after all the progress they'd made this season. But for all that, it has to be berkata that things look pretty hopeful at the moment. And how can they not...
