This is a fan fiction about what happened after the fade out in Chosen. Please note that while it may seem a little short, a lot of it is simply looking at each other, which is lebih effective and romantic on-screen than in words. Anyways, I hope anda like it!

Buffy walked slowly down the stairs. When she reached the bottom of the flight, she turned to look at him. He had been sitting, the amulet dangling out in front of him. He had been examining it with careful eyes. At the sound of her footsteps he stood up. They stared at each other for a moment, then he spoke.

"What's up pet?"

Buffy walked towards him slowly. "Everyone's asleep. atau mostly everyone. A couple people are playing Dungeons and Dragons...." she trailed off. He stood there, his head cocked as if trying to make a difficult decision. He seemed to make up his mind. Carefully, slowly, as if not to startle her, he took her hand in his. They sat down on the bed, their hands still twined. His thumb rubbed the back of her palm in rhythmic circles.
"Spike-" she started, but he cut her off. "Buffy." She looked at him, waiting. "This...this thing we've been having, the last couple of days. Where you've been coming to talk to me, alone. It-it's not-" She cut him off with a look. "I don't know." she said, so soft it was almost a whisper. He nodded to himself.
They sat there for a long time. Hands held tightly together, their eyes never leaving each other's. "It's late," Spike berkata after a while. Buffy grinned. "No, really?" She looked at the black window pointedly , then back at him, her eyebrows raised. Spike chuckled. "You should sleep. Big apocalypse tomorrow and everything, you'll need some shut eye."
"Okay." She started to lay down, then sat up again. He looked at her questioningly. Not stopping to take a breath, atau even to wonder if she was going to regret her selanjutnya move, she pressed her lips to his. It wasn't anything like last tahun had been. It reminded her of what seemed like so long ago, in Spike's crypt after he almost died protecting her and Dawn from Glory. She pulled back. His expression was one of a person who had just been told something very amusing, but he couldn't laugh because it was against the rules.
She smiled at him tentatively. He smiled back. They lay down then, content just to be in each other's arms. They slept the night away, all along keeping their hands intwined, a bond that could not be severed oleh hundred vampires.
