I agree, we need to foster kids' creativity and abstract thinking through art, philosophy, etc. Good science education doesn't have to be at the expense of other subjects, nor should it. I just believe that it should be made an important focus in schools because the consequences of scientific illiteracy are highly detrimental to society, lebih so than most other subjects. Affects everything from politics to the general perception of the world around us. One example: good science policy oleh governments is becoming increasingly essential as the impacts of climate change worsen.
