Post an anime villain/antagonist who is a sympathetic character

Suigintou from Rozen Maiden Traummend. Even though her methods were evil, her intentions were to save a chronically ill girl who was convinced that she's junk.

Itachi Uchiha (Naruto Shippuden)

The "villain" (Doesn't really act like it in the manga) is Hao Asakura from Shaman King.
Well if anda read the manga, Mappa Douji, (Pretty sure it's a side komik jepang that involves his past) anda find out a lot about why he's doing what he is currently doing and why he has that goal. Such an amazing villain who I fully sympathise with. Though, I don't approve of some of the bad things that he did.

Alois Trancy (Black Butler) After learning his backstory and seeing what happened to him I can't help but feel bad for him. Plus it also explains why he acts the way he does.

Oh jeez... I think if I had to choose, the first to come to mind if Kinshiro Kutatsu from *deep breath* Binan Koukou Chikyuu Bouei-bu LOVE! Not exactly the most dramatic show, but he definitely qualifies for being a sympathetic villain through his relationships and backstory. I suppose this includes everyone on Student Council, but he's the only one confirmed in the show.
