Wow. This game. Where do I start?!
Well, a short summary of Skyrim would be: Massive, Immersive, Addictive, Full of quality content, involving, can be as easy atau as challenging as anda like, gritty, realistic (for fantasy), magical, full of exploration and discovery. Is there a of how many commas I can use because oh boy, I could just keep going & going.
Here is the true review:
Skyrim is the ultimate fantasi RPG and is arguably the best Role-playing game ever. It may have a few flaws, bugs & glitches, but the large (and I mean LARGE) majority of the game is truly breath-taking!
*Visuals - While this game was released back in 2011, the visuals were (and still are) great in bringing a realistic feel to a fantasi world. Although there are some low resolution textures, the secara keseluruhan, keseluruhan look of the game is VERY well done. On the PC (with mods) the graphics can be easily upgraded for the current generation of gaming.
*Gameplay - Although many people criticise the seemingly 'clunky combat,' I think it gives a really gritty and realistic feel which fits right in with the tough barbarian-esque atmosphere. The only 'clunky' combat that I have experienced is with two-handed weapons (Great Swords & Warhammers). Weapons like regular swords, daggers & bows don't feel clunky at all but they still feel realistic. Magic is very enjoyable to use. When you're not spraying your enemies' face with flames atau casting a ball of light inside a cave, you're turning enemies against each other with a powerful conjured Daedra Lord attacking them all whilst invisible and unseen. anda can even use staves if your magicka is low atau anda can wield a spell in one hand with a staff in another. Oh, I forgot to mention; anda can dual-wield! Dual-wielding is when anda have a sword in one hand and a spell in the other. Or, anda can even wield two swords as well as dual-casting spells for a lebih powerful effect.
Overall, I think the combat is fun, rewarding & enjoyable (especially on higher difficulties).
The rest of the gameplay mechanics are very well done; especially when it comes to crafting, collecting loot, harvesting etc.
*Levelling - The levelling system in the game is simple yet effective (yes, I'm talking about vanilla). The lebih anda use a certain skill, the better anda will get a it. It is as simple as that. For example: If you're a mage and anda just start using flames, it won't do much damage at all. But the lebih anda use them (or any other spell in that particular school) the lebih your Destruction skill increases.
When you've levelled a skill (or several skills) enough times, anda will 'Level Up' your character's level. For example, if you're level 1 and anda increase your destruction & one-handed skills a few times, your character's progression bar will glow and anda can level up your character. The levelling up process consists of choosing either Health, Magicka atau Stamina. These three attributes are your main buffs in the game. While Health is obvious, Stamina increases the duration at which anda can sprint as well as perform power-attacks. It even increases your carry-weight which increases the amount of items anda can carry. Magicka increases the duration of your spells as well as allowing anda to cast lebih advanced spells.
#NOTE#
anda can find/buy/make jewellery/armor that can give anda buffs in certain skills so anda don't have to fully rely on perks.
anda also get perks. Perks are points that anda can use to increase (decrease Magicka cost of spells) your chosen skills' power/damage as well as unlocking new abilities. anda must spend your perks sparingly because anda only have a limited amount. So choose wisely!
*Crafting - Instead of just buying weapons, armor, potions & enchanted gear, anda can make them yourself! With a little (or a lot) of skill, anda can create extremely powerful weapons, potions & enchantments as well as very protective armor.
Smithing: Is the skill to improve weapons & armor at forges, grindstones & workbenches. A high Smithing skill means that anda can forge lebih varieties of armor as well as being able to improve them (and the associated weapons) twice as much!
Enchanting: Would anda like to absorb the health of your enemies as your own? Set api to them with just a touch of your blade? Paralyse them? anda can do so much with enchanting. anda can enchant both weapons & armor. In order to enchant an item, anda need a filled Soul Gem. anda can buy soul gems atau use the Conjuration spell, 'Soul Trap' on an enemy in order to trap their soul. (The tougher the enemy the lebih powerful the soul = lebih powerful enchantments)
Weapon enchantments mainly consist of a type of damage buff such as shock, frost, api atau poison. anda can also apply Soul Trap to a weapon in order to easily trap the souls of enemies instead of using te spell.
Armor enchantments consist of effects such as:
*Increase Health/Stamina/Magicka
*Muffle (harder to detect when sneaking)
*Resist frost/shock/fire/poison
*Increasing a certain skill (E.g. one-handed weapons do 25% lebih damage atau increase heavy armor skill oleh 10%)
Alchemy: Allows anda to make powerful potions & poisons.
Although anda find many potions/poisons throughout the world, none can compete with a master Alchemist's skill. For example, a normal poison may do 2 points of health damage for 10 seconds. anda can make the same poison of lingering health that does 7 points of health damage for 30 seconds. The equivalent of a health potion would be:
Regular Minor Healing Potion=Restores 25 points of health vs Master Alchemist Health Potion= Restores 100 points of health.
#NOTE#
The in-game potion/poison strengths/types will vary as well as the types/strengths of potions/poisons that anda make. All that I'm trying to explain is, your potions & poisons will always be better than any potion that anda can buy/loot if anda level Alchemy.
*Overall Opinion - While Skyrim was the first RPG that I had ever played, it still remains my all-time favourite. I look up to this masterpiece of a game as it introduced me to my favourite gaming genre. I do cinta other types of Role-playing games besides open-world such as dungeon-crawlers (Dark Souls & Legend of Grimrock) and the Witcher.
Kingdoms of Amalur: Reckoning & Dragon's Dogma are two other open-world RPGs that I enjoy playing and have spent hours on, but no game has ever diberikan me the total feeling of immersion & depth like Skyrim has.
10/10
