After my 7th viewing of this movie, I have finally decided to make my daftar of certain things in which I do/don't like about it. The movie in general was pretty darn good, and well written IMHO, but there are a few things that even I didn't like. Moving on....
1.
Like: The Animation
I cinta the animasi in this movie! Especially the scene in which Judy begins her train ride to Zootopia. I cinta how it shows us (almost) each section in Zootopia as she arrives there. Zootopia as a city was brilliantly made, and I wouldn't mind visiting the place myself (If it were real, of course. Which it's sadly not.) To put it simply, that scene was just beautiful. I loved it.
Dislike: Judy's treatment
On her very first hari there, she gets treated like crap oleh Bogo and the others. Now, look, I get it--I know she has to earn it, which is true. Because it's important to earn things. But, damn, they could have at least treated her better! Weather she had to earn it atau not, she didn't deserve THAT type of treatment. None of them even bothered to help her with the case. No one. I personally thought that was a bit unfair. But from a plot-perspective, I can see why they did it like that. It gave the story a reason for Nick to come along and help her.
2.
Like: Zootopia's secara keseluruhan, keseluruhan setup
Zootopia, IMHO, was amazingly detailed. I like how each animal had their own specific section/climate of the city, and it actually makes anda believe that Zootopia was constructed for animals. Plus, Zootopia's many sections kinda makes me wish I could explore the city, if they ever constructed a city like this in the future. And not to forget the fact that each animal is still the same size as they would be in the real world. cinta how they did that. Makes it lebih realistic.
Dislike: The Nudest Scene
I realize that to some of you, anda may not see it this way, but I personally disliked that scene. I don't think it was needed, and felt out of place. Why didn't I like it? Well, OK, I get that that place is for the naturalists who prefer to go nude, which I didn't mind since there were no visible "parts" shown. But the part that turned me off was not that they were nude, but how provocative and sexualized it appeared to be. It was fine until we see a harimau kumbang, panther licking their leg in a very inappropriate manner, and a giraffe getting a drink with his hands on his butt--as if anyone in the real world does that. I'm not a fan of sexual things--it's a complete turn off for me.
3.
Like: Character interactions
I must say that all the character interactions felt real, and very well done. Especially with Nick and Judy's little bantering moments. Considering how both Judy and Nick each had their own different perspective of Zootopia, and/or life itself. It was nice to have them sorta balance each other out like they did. Oh, and I LOVED any scene with Clawhauser in it. I know he's a side character, but I was hoping for lebih scene's with him. I would rather watch lebih Clawhauser than Olaf from Frozen. *shudders*
Dislike: Only one predator goes savage
I know that according to the movie, several predator's went savage, but we only saw ONE do that. Not counting Mr. Manchas' flashback, Mr Manchas himself was the only one seen going savage and Nick faked his (Though I did cinta that scene.). I like the movie of course, but I wish we could have seen lebih preds go savage than what we did. It's just a minor complaint, there is still plenty to like about Zootopia.
4.
Like: Judy and Nick's bond
I loved watching the two go back and forth with each other, both displaying there view-points. I also enjoyed when, even though Nick was a total jerk to her, she seemed to one-up him each time. I especially laughed when she blackmailed him into helping her. lol But as time went on, they got to really get a better understanding of each other and why they were the way they were. The two were complete opposites, so they balanced each other out very well.
Dislike: Not using the tame kerah plot-line
After watching the movie about the 2nd time around, I began research lebih stuff, lebih details about the movie and I happened to find out that there were several different plot-lines they dropped before coming to the one we see in the movie. One plot-line they had involved tame collars that predator were forced too wear and would give them a nice shock if they got to aggressive. Some would argue that it would have made the story too dark, and it does do that, However, I personally would have loved to have seen that in the movie. Don't get me wrong, I loved the plot-line they used, but I just cinta the tame kerah concept.
5.
Like: Clawhauser
Despite how I wish he was in lebih scenes, I like how his character doesn't take away from the plots actual focus. Instead of being distracting, atau annoying (*coughs* Olaf), he is there just long enough to give the movie a comedic vibe, and then go back to the plot. As it should. Plus, I just cinta his secara keseluruhan, keseluruhan character in the movie, and I wouldn't mind being friends with him if he were to ever exist IRL. Sadly, he does not. And his fascination with gazelle is somewhat hilarious LOL
Dislike: Judy's motives
Correct me if I'm wrong, but.... Judy is a cop, right? Her job is to, quote, "serve and protect." Right? So why does Judy keep in contact with Mr. Big, who's a freaking CRIMINAL? That's like if a cop in the real world kept in contact with a murdered, atau rapist atau some of crappy low-life. One could argue that it's because she saved Mr. Big's daughter from being a pancake, but STILL. She's a cop.... her job is NOT to associate herself with criminal's such as him. She should have arrested his sorry butt. Now, granted, if he had changed his ways, it would entirely different. But he hasn't. He's STILL a crime boss.

Like: Equal ground
Throughout the movie, it shows us both sides of the "prey vs predator" issue. Instead of being one sided and akting like only one side is the victim, it shows us that both prey and predator alike have equally been victimized one way atau another. Judy was bullied oleh a predator, and Nick was also bullied.... oleh prey. oleh doing so, it tampil us that things aren't always as one-sided as they appear, very much so in the real world in regards to stereotyping others. And it also tampil us that both sides are capable of prejudice. That makes it equally fair with both sides, and not just one.
Dislike: Judy's parents
Look, I don't hate them, but I didn't really find them that likable to be honest. One would think that since they were her parents, they would at least support Judy's goal. But no. Like Gideon, Nick and Bogo, they also shot down her dream. And during that fist video chat after she had moved to Zootopia, after they find out she's a meter maid, her parents couldn't be happier that she wasn't a real cop. I know they're only worried for her safety, but that was still unneeded. However, they did eventually seem to come off as supportive later in the movie. I don't know, they just annoyed me.
7.
Like: The fact that it's NOT a musical
I don't mind musikal at all, because I do like them (Tangled comes to mind <3). However, it was nice and refreshing to see that it's not a musical, and focuses lebih on the plot. There is, however, one song that is in the movie, and I liked it. I think it's a important for a movie to not always rely so much on the musical element, and actually use other things to advance the plot. Again, I don't MIND musicals, I'm just saying.....
Dislike: Nick NEVER apologized
In the movie, we see both Nick and Judy interact (A.K.A Nick being a buttface, and Judy not taking his crap). We each learn about why both of them are the way they are, and we each see both him and her be jerks to each other (exp. Nick tearing down Judy for her dreams, and Judy saying what she berkata about predators at the press conference). And Judy even apologized for her words, knowing she was wrong. But.... did Nick? Do we ever see him tell her how sorry he was for being such a buttface to her? NO. Although, I guess anda could say that when Nick defended Judy against Bogo, that was his own version of "I'm sorry", and I do like that he did that. But he never came out and berkata he was wrong for treating her that way, as Judy did with him. I guess Nick must not being the apologetic type. It just felt a bit one-sided, and unfair. Even Gideon apologized to her for how he treated her. There was no reason why Nick shouldn't have.

Like: Nick "going savage"
That was one of my favorit scenes, and it was nicely done IMHO. It would have been lebih surprising, had I not found that scene on youtube and spoiled myself lol But as for the seen itself, it was very intense. When I first saw it, I had no idea what was going on, and I actually thought he was going to kill her. It's too bad he never actually went savage.... that would have been interesting.
Dislike: We never see Nick's parents
During the whole movie, we only see his mother, and that's only during a flashback. And even during the flash, we never see her face. Was there a reason for this? I would have liked to see them appear at least once in the film, unless they're doing that for a sequel. It wasn't all that crucial to the plot, I would have just liked see them there in general. Oh, well.
9.
Like: "Try Everything"
I really cinta this song, especially when I first heard it. It's energetic and catchy and gets anda pumped to reach your dreams, no matter what they are. Granted, it was the only song in the movie, but I still thought it sent a great message and it's an secara keseluruhan, keseluruhan great song. I like it wasn't drastically overplayed, and only played when it needed to.
Dislike: Bellwether's treatment
Now, I am not condoning what she did as far, anda know, causing preds to go savage and spreading fear throughout Zootopia. But I just... I just don't understand why Lionheart went out of his to make it so obvious about how he felt towards her. In nearly every seen when those two are together, Lionheart makes it clear he doesn't particularly like her. But why? Does he have something against her? Is he secretly prejudice against "prey" animals? atau is it just her specifically? We'll never know because the movie never hints at why, not even once. I guess it it's that important, but I'd still like to know.
10.
Like: The Message
I instantly liked the message it was trying to send. Just as in the real world, our differences we may have was never meant to divide us. We as people were meant to be as one, like a "family" in a since. And it is important to not let fear blind your mind, because when fear has control over the mind, it will affect the choices anda make. And we all should know oleh now fear never helps us make good judgment, especially with others.
Dislike: "In Zootopia, anda can be anything."
Maybe I'm taking this out of context atau something, but.... ANYTHING? Like, even a murder? A thief? A drug addict? An animal? A Vampire? Werewolf? I mean, if you're not going to specify, this may (and does) lead to some confusion. Shouldn't it be within reason? I mean, anda can't just wake up one hari and say, "I think I'll be a dog today." Now, I realizes that not everyone is gonna take this saying seriously, but it doesn't seem to set a boundary on what is reasonable and what is not. Chances are, there may be some people who actually take this to heart. I don't. But aside from that, I thought this movie was very well done, and nicely paced. Definitely worth re-watching.
