OHMYGOSH that's what i ask myself everyday. every time i go online all i see are these messed up yaoi pictures of the characters and it pisses me off >_____> and like most of the fanfics i've read don't even involve the card game. *sighs*

Okay, I'm a fangirl but I don't like yaoi (ONLY because of people putting my fave characters with guys I don't like..I'm sorry yaoi fans! *does peace sign*). But I agree with the answer above. It's not only just girls' fantasies but guys do it too. So I have to disagree....I like Takahashi-sensei's work but I guess it can't be helped to change things for imaginative purposes and peoples enjoyment (hence fanfiction writers (like me), yaoi fans...etc). People know his artwork/storyline and we all know it is this way so the good name of Yu-Gi-Oh! will be known only for that and it should be...I hope what I berkata makes sense....^_^;

in all honesty tho, i think most yugioh fan are throwback fan from childhood (yay '90's!)... i know i am... it feels good to get in touch with your roots a little, anda know? to be able to see and appreciate the stuff anda loved growing up with a new perspective...

I am a total Nostalgic Fan. I cinta and appreciate shows, characters, etc for who and what they are intended to originally be. I remember the innocence in watching Yu-Gi-Oh! many, many eons ago. Back then I was a kid. Kids dont think about anything but kid things. How hot the fictional charater is and how much hotter they would be in the arms of another character of the same sex does not even cast a bit of a shadow of a thought.......heck at that point we cant even spell "sexy"

It's a shame that anda cant even cari pictures of your favorit characters like Yami atau any other anime for that matter because, well, that poor guy is nothing lebih than bait for FanGirls these days.

No not really, in fact, girls like it so much that that they create atau look up YuGiOh! yaoi pairings because it's hot to these fan girls and they don't really mind it. It could also be to avoid straight pairings of their favorit male duelists that they have a thing for.
