"Silver!" Alek exclaimed, his panic causing him to forget to use the code-names. Three other men stood in the corridor. All heavy-set; their masks red, black horns completing the devils' faces. They had all been in the ball room a moment before, watching their boss carefully as he danced to the music, putting on a nice show. They had spotted the young girl slyly slip her hand into their master's pocket, retrieve the Key, and slide it into her partners jacket.
It had been an entertaining show, but the men were not there for the entertainment.
The largest of the goons was the one with his pisau at Aryess's throat. Her eyes were wide, though no fear touched them. She was not afraid for herself.
"Hand over the Key," her captor said, "or your little princess dies."
"Come and get it," Jasper taunted, holding tight to his cane. A sharp blade protruded from the end, shining in the light.
Alek pulled a short metal rod from his sleeve. With the press of a release button, the levels of the stick slid into place until he was holding a four foot pole. He held it at ready, waiting for a sign of attack.
Nic never flinched, keeping his arms crossed.
The man who held onto Aryess pressed the cool, sharp edge harder into the soft skin of her throat, and she squeaked, shutting her eyes. "I will kill her," her captor threatened.
"I know," Nic said. He uncrossed his arms and thrust a flaming ball of api at the man.
The goon screamed as the fiery bullet met his mask and quickly burned through the cheap material. He thrust up his hands in panic and Aryess sprinted to her team's side. Nic held his hands at his side, palms facing out, flames coating his unharmed fingers. "Who's next?" he berkata smugly.
One of the three remaining men, though looking slightly hesitant, charged Nic. He held up his hands and shot a spray of flame at the goon. Before the inferno touched the masked gentlemen, a force drilled into the men and teenagers, all falling to the ground.
The man who had been holding a steel blade to Aryess's throat only a moment yang lalu was alive. The whole right side of his face was a hideous mess of blood and charred flesh. The devil mask was mostly melted, a slimy red adding to the pool of blood. The goon was not unconscious; his groans and cries filled the hall.
"One, simple task," a commanding voice said, "just one. Retrieve the Key from the children." He stressed the word, spitting from his mouth as if it disgusted him.
The fallen fighters began to sit up. They could now see the leader of the goons.
He was nearly as tall as his henchmen, and just as muscular. His blonde hair was combed back neatly, a glistening crown atop the masked face. A mask of oily black with emas trimming. They also saw the 7 other devils with him.
"I believe the phrase is never send a group of idiots to do a professional's job. Shut-up!" The Magistrate yelled as the burnt man moaned particularly loudly. The man didn't quiet his complaints of pain.
Lightning fast, the magistrate pulled a concealed pistol from under his jaket and shot the goon.
The echoing boom of the shot filled the silence. The silence of the limp henchmen. "Now," the leader berkata evenly, as if he hadn't just shot a man in cold blood, "were was I. Oh right, the Key."
The fallen children and devils were standing unsteadily now, still shocked from the invisible wave that had knocked them to the floor with such force. At the mention of the Key though, the fighters snapped to full attention.
"The Key, children," the Magistrate coaxed.
"Over my dead body," Nic repsonded.
The Magistrate sighed, "Fine," He pulled out a gun.
Aryess screamed a name, but it was not Nic's. "Thirteen!" she had yelled instead. At that moment, the man pulled his trigger, another BOOM! resounding off the walls. The bullet sped across the short luar angkasa between the master and the api boy. Nic didn't blink as the copper-jacketed projectile zoomed through the air, aimed right for his skull. It stopped in midair and bounced off an invisible wall.
A shield of energy, only slightly tinted the same zamrud, emerald green as it's creator's gleaming eyes.
Aryess had screamed a warning, one that alerted the rookie to the danger of the Glock gun. Alek now stood at his leader's side, his metal pole glowing as it transmitted the energy from his own self. His hands were intertwined in a web of bright green, his blood veins alight.
The Magistrates's face turned bright red, "Kill them!" he ordered. The henchmen unfroze at the command. They advanced on the group of teenagers, fists raised. The younglings were ready.
Aryess slid out her dagger from its sheath, though used the blade only as a warning, never freeing a single drop of blood.
Nic kept his hands alight with fire, though fought with punches and kicks.
Alek was twirling his staff through the air, using is to deflecting blows and keeping the crowd back.
Jasper used his cane like a sword, blocking hits, knocking away fists, never missing a single one.
The quartet stood back-to-back-to-back-to-back, their shoulders nearly touching. Protecting each other from all sides.
'We're going to be overwhelmed!' Alek warned, panicking.
'Fight back,' Nic commanded, 'but no casualties.'
Alek halted hie twirling, catching his opponent oleh surprise at the hollow metal knocked his feet out from under him. The large man fell with a heavy thud, blacking out as his head collided with the floor.
The other members of his squad followed likewise, falling to the hands of the teens. The four vigilantes used their years of training to knock out 8 of the 11 goons, not including the one the Magistrate had shot atau the two that kept oleh his side.
Jasper stepped forward. "Surrender, sir," he advised, "We have won."
"I do not surrender to anyone," The Magistrate berkata with extreme anger, "especially not underaged younglings."
"Suit yourself," Aryess said. She flung her dagger at the devil on the Magistrates left.
His ducked, and the blade embedded in the dinding two inches to the left. He smirked, looking at the knife, "You missed, girl." He turned back to the children only to be met with a high-kick to the skull. He crumpled to the ground.
"I don't miss," Aryess said, yanking her dagger, her distraction, from the wall. She looked to the right, where Nic was kneeling before the last goon, who lay with the api boy's knee on his chest. "Don't threaten my team," he said, and pulled back a fiery hand to deliver the final blow of the battle.
A spray of water slammed into Nic. Ths blast carried him three feet away from the goon.
"Blaze!" Jasper exclaimed. He stood behind his leader and life-long friend as Nic got to his feet, his suit soaked. Water dripped from his coal-black hair into his eyes where a spark of fury mixed with confusion.
Standing at the end of the hall was a girl with long, coal-white hair, with a dress white as snow. Her ivory mask completed her masquareade enemble. Two wings expanded behind her.
"Trying to do my job for me?" she said.
"Just defending my friends," Nic said, eyeing the girl suspiciously.
"I respect that," she said. A boy stood beside her, his arms crossed as he inspected the Nic and his team. "You have something we want, hermono," he said.
Alek suppressed a groan. Everyone wanted the Key. 'Are anda guys up for one lebih round?' he asked.
SilverWings gripped her knife, Blaze relit his hands, and Ruse repositioned his cane. The team's final member, their rookie, readied his staff, a pulse of energy brightening the metal.
The boy saw the motions and narrowed his eyes. Starting at his back, a blue exoskeleton grew over his tuxido, enveloping him in a near impenetrable shell. A black face mask fell into place, completing the armor. "Don't even think about it," he warned.
Alek stepped meneruskan, ke depan on instinct. Detecting the threat, Blue Beetle's right arm morphed into a sinar, ray gun. It lit up as an energy pulse fired through it.
Alek already had his staff raised, protecting his team. The electromagnetic wave passed oleh harmlessly, bending around the invisible dome.
Blue Beetle cocked his head in confusion. His canon recharged quickly. Alek could feel he power draining from him, his hands slick with sweat. Aryess noticed too, and realized he would not be able to stop another blast.
"Stop," she said, stepping forward. "We surrender." She held up her hands.
"SilverWings?" the masked girl selanjutnya to Blue Beetle said, recognizing Aryess's voice.
"Eclipse?" Aryess responded. Nic looked from his teammate to the dark girl and back again. "Explain," he said.
I obviously did this before Eclipse got a change of color, but I hope anda like it despite the flaw!

The car raced to the Mountains. Zinc had no idea where his 'Father' was taking him.
"Dad, where are we going?"
"Away, to keep anda safe. anda don't belong here" Replied the Death Spirit.
"What!? what about my twin Zoe, why aren't anda taking her to be safe?!"
"She already is. In the eyes of the Spirits."
A awan of thunder formed right behind the mountains. Echoing throughout the mountain air.
The Death Spirit made a left hand turn into a field of grass.
"Gnome. You'll be aman, brankas there". berkata the Death Spirit.
Blackness filled Zincs eyes, as he fell into a trance.
The Death Spirit had taken Zinc to a far away universe. He was held in a town called Gnome. No way there, no way out. Only oleh plane.

For a moment, Revenge was pressed against her in the narrow hallway in complete darkness. Then, there was a light, from Revenge's mask, and the hallway was lit in a dim red light.
"Ladies first." Revenge said.
"Scared?" Batgirl asked.
"Funny." Revenge said. "I'll take point."
Barbara cut him off. "I'LL take point." she said.
"I've got the light." Revenge said. "And the armor, and the brains."
"Har har, funny."
"Indeed. Watch my back."
"From the scary dark?" Batgirl asked in a mocking voice.
Revenge turned and tossed a dagger into the darkness behind them. It went farther than the three feet of the iron door through which they had entered.
"Any lebih smart remarks?"
