Chapter Twenty-
It had been a week since holly had been detained, and still nothing had happened. No Shadows, no threats. Sam was beginning to think holly was wrong.
Until the meeting on the tower.
Sam was supposed to meet a stock broker for his mother at the puncak, atas of Grant Tower. For whatever reason, she hadn't felt the need to explain that in the note.
So that's where Sam was Tuesday morning. Waiting for a stock broker and suspecting holly would escape while he was gone. So far he had managed to arrive before she woke up and would leave after she was asleep. Not today.
"Mr. Grant?"
Sam turned to see a tall, buff man in a white undershirt and khakis. A little underdressed and definitely NOT the nerdy stock broker he was expecting.
"Yes. I presume anda are Mr. Waling?"
"Yes, Im here to relieve your mother of some trouble."
Sam raised an eyebrow. "I was under the impression anda were here to give us some information on arch-rival's stocks."
"No," the man said, reaching into his back pocket. "Definitely not."
Sam blinked and found a pistol to his stomach.
"If it helps any, your mom didn't write that message. I bring one from the Mayor though."
Sam gritted his teeth.
"Hail the Shadows."
Sam placed a kick in-between the man's legs and ran like a billionaire playboy was supposed to.
The man fired and the crowd's screamed, running for the elevator.
Soon, no one was left in the building. Sam poked his head above the meja he was hiding behind. The man hit him full force, knocking him through the window. They fell, struggling all the while. Sam fired his grapple gun into the man's head and he fell away from the billionaire. Without wasting a moment, Sam leaped through a window on the lower story and rolled to a stop on his back. He hauled himself up and looked out the window. The man had flattened himself on a car, his spine most likely crushed.

After several tedious police interviews and escort home, Sam finally managed to change into his Red Revenge suit and head over to the base.
"Is she still there?" Revenge asked.
"I didn't check, I was afraid she'd escape." Sarah responded.
"Strangely, I don't think she wants to." Revenge replied.
He walked into the back.
holly was laying on her bed, playing with an iPod. Revenge stopped.
"How'd anda get that?"
"It was laying on your meja tulis, meja on the detik floor. It was new, unopened." holly propped herself up on one elbow. "I hope anda don't mind."
Revenge didn't answer.
"Ah, silent type."
Revenge began to walk out.
"I was right, huh?"
Revenge stopped and turned around.
"Its all over the news. That idiot Grant fell out of his own tower with some help from a Shadow."
"That family has those issues." Revenge replied.
"I warned you."
Revenge nodded and walked out.
"Sam, I think anda would want to know that-"
"Not now, I've got an arrest to make." Revenge interrupted his technician.
"Arrest? Who?
"The Mayor."
Before Revenge could walk out, Sarah interrupted him.
"Sam, the test results are back."
Sam picked up the sheet and looked at the results. His eyes widened.
"I guess I do."

Revenge stumbled away. The woman looked at the needle in her hand. The blood within was mixed with a strange brown mixture. Revenge gripped his arm and glared at the woman.
"A simple test will tell me who is beneath the mask, Red Revenge. And your secret will belong to me."
"Not likely." Revenge growled.
"Oh, but that's not all it does." she continued. "It poisons the blood stream. Corrupts the DNA within cells and eventually kills them."
"Nerve gas."
"In a liquid form, yes Red Revenge."
