I run down the halls looking for my team mates, the malaikat and demon girl. I hated the lights here, too much like Cadmus. I ran past creepy looking people; some that look like me, human, but other look weird. Suddenly a loud noise scares me, sounded like thunder. It was dogs…wolves, yes wolves, that’s what the Geno-morphs told me. But I keep running, it calms me down, just keep running. That’s when I crash. I get pushed back and I fall down. Glaring at who ever ran into me, I relies it’s a boy, my age. He was also rubbing his head and glaring at me.
“Watch where your goin’! ” He huffed “Wait aren’t anda the girl joining the team?” He asks
“Squad 1243,” I say coldly
“Yes, Me. Shadowa, and Angelica,” He nodded then stuck his hand out “I’m Brant,” I eye him skeptically but shake his hand. I was surprised as how old he acted. I act bigger because that’s what the Geno-morphs taught me.
“Delta,” I say

I glare at the squad selanjutnya to me, they are all Cadmus kids. They somehow managed to pull ahead of my team, well Shadowa’s team. They aren’t serigala , I think. They stand there, grinning their fool heads off ignoring the glares from everyone. anda glare back idiots! I think, I spin on my heel and start walking. Someone puts a hand on my shoulder, I see Brant behind me. ‘You ok?’ He mouths, I glare and shake his hand off and stomp away.
“Well well well, look what we got here!” A big voice says, I use a new bad word that Shadowa taught me. Then someone picks me up oleh the kerah of my jumpsuit. I menyeberang, salib my arms glaring at my captors, not giving them the satisfaction of pointlessly flailing.
“You see pipsqueak, anda used to be number one, now anda two!” The big man who was up in my face said
“There is no prize for second!” A weird looking alien said.
“Actually there is!” My eyes widened, the man sneered “ A beating”

I moan and pick my head up from the floor and scope the damage to my body. pisau wounds to the legs, those heal fast; broken arm, ow but fixable; a slight concision, a long lasting headache; broken ribs, that will take forever. Pride? That will take the longest to repair.

I clasp my hands to my head, tears steaming down my face. The one thing that was keeping me from screaming was Brant, who’s arms were around me and he was gently taking to me.
“The memories they’re too much!” I wail. My powers are at it again, we were in a huge city and all the memories of people were bombarding my scull.
“Delta, listen to my voice,” He berkata and I instantly calmed down, I don’t know how he did it but it worked. He just kept talking to me, and the memories faded. I fell asleep gently that night there were no lebih nightmares.
“I’ll never leave you,” Brant berkata to the girl sleeping in his arms.

(Age: Delta 12 Brant 13)

“The Shadows have been worked with the terrorist and assassin group “The Lone Wolves”,” batman berkata during a debriefing.
“The Lone Wolves?!” Robin and Wally exclaimed
“Who are they?” Superboy asked
“Cold hearted assassins, they kill and destroy everything in their path,” Robin berkata with pure hatred in his voice. Delta struggled to not make an expression.
“They are horrible people, they are…just cruel people,” Wally said. batman glared at them, silencing them.
“They are well known oleh a tattoo they have on their arm, a serigala and black rings all with numbers tampilkan how many people they have killed,” He explained. Delta’s arm twitched nervously under her baggy long sleeved jacket.
“They’re proud of that?!” Megan gasped. Her gasp causes Delta to jump.
“If anda see anyone with this symbol, do not hold back. Their ages range from young children to elderly, don’t let their looks fool you,” batman said. Brant stepped closer to Delta, just to let her know that he was there. But Batman’s words stung her horribly. Are they right? If I tampil myself will they attack me? Will my own family attack me?

(Age: Delta 14 Brant 15)

The two kids sat selanjutnya to each other shivering in the meat locker. Both freezing from head to toe.
“I-I-I o-f-fica-l-l-lyy h-h-hat-e i-ice v-v-i-l-lans!” Delta berkata through chattering teeth. Automatically she scooted selanjutnya to Brant, pressing agents him, and she laid her head on his shoulder. Brant’s eyes shot open, even if one was unseeing. Delta was now blushing too, What the hell did I just do?!
“Delta-” He berkata but got interrupted.
“Shut up…..your warm,”

You say to trust you
But I don’t
anda say I’ll be fine

(Age: Delta 12 Brant 13)

“It’s over it’s all over,” Delta murmured. They were back at the place she hated the most, The Lone Wolves. Her ‘home’, Shadowa came back. She ripped Delta out of her heaven and dragged her down to hell.
“We’ll be fine,” Brant said, though his words were hollow.
“You know as good as I do, that in the end well be dead atau worse,” She berkata eyeing the demons at the door.
“You’ll be fine,” Brant berkata also looking at the demons.
“But anda won’t, she can turn anda into a monster, she’ll just kill me,” Delta berkata sadly, both confused on who had the better end of the bargain. Delta gently kissed him, a wordless goodbye. Then the sat in silence, waiting for what was their fate in the end

My jantung screams ‘Yes’    
My head screams ‘No’
We got another long night to go

(Age: Delta 13 Brant 14)

Delta and Brant dashed out of the building, running like demons were after them. They kept running until the reached a park. Thy gasped for breath then stared at each other, and then burst into laughter. Delta held her hand up, grinning they high-fived, but they didn’t release their hands. They walked down the cobble stone path of the park, still laughing at their latest prank, hand in hand.
“You know we are so dead after this right?” Delta berkata failing at trying to keep a straight face.
“Most defiantly,” Brant laughed at Del’s attempt at seriousness “But they had it coming!” He smiled. They just walked down the streets, simply enjoying the other company. But suddenly Brant stopped dead in his tracks. Confused Delta looked up, and her smile faded. ‘Welhelm Cemetery’ that was were his parents were….Brant glared at the cemetery and spun on his heel and tried to leave, but Delta held him in place.
“Delta!” He berkata voice sharp
“I know what happened, but it wasn’t their fault!” Delta said
“They-“
“You can’t hate them forever!” Delta berkata “You mfft!” She was silenced oleh Brant lips. They have kissed before but never like this, before it was short and was lebih of a wordless gesture of young love, ok they were still really young but trough all they have been trough together, it was different. Nononononononoononononononono! Her mind screeches he’s a team mate, every time we are too close to each other something bad happens! shut up, brain, I’ve known him since I was five and he is not leaving me Delta started ciuman him back, and the world suddenly felt right.

Today, I brought bunga to your grave
I tried my best to fake a smile
I tried to be brave

Delta walked to his grave, bunga in hand. She waked up to the grave and fell to her knees.
“Damn it, Brant!” She berkata to the grave “Why do anda have to be the hero all the time?” She asked. Then Dick and Kyra finally caught up. Her big brother put a hand on her shoulder, looking at her worried. She gave a false smile, forcing her tears down, knowing Brant would hate her crying. She knew what he would do Come on Del! Don’t go all sappy on me! He would laugh and give her that wild smile of his, and somehow convince her that there were better ways to let the pain out.


Tonight….well forgive me if I cry
As I say goodbye for one last time

Her siblings started walking out of the cemetery. She let a single tear out and it gently hit the grave. She placed two fingers to her lips and then touched the soft ground where he lay. And she ran after her siblings, not wanting to cry in front of Brant.

Delta watched the world go oleh from the car window. She felt so lost, the feeling she had hated the most had come back. When she had left Cadmus, she felt so lost, like the whole world was out to get her, then she found Brant, and the world stabilized. Now that he’s gone, she is too.

She tried as hard as she could to not live in the past, but she was painfully remembering everything, his laugh, smile, the looks he would give her when she acted like a klutz.

Delta lied her head on the car window, seeing the city lights flash on her face, thinking of happier times. Brant always found a way back, this time it was harder but he was still there.

Delta walked down the halls of the manor looking at the shadows. Before shadows used to scare her, afraid that Shadowa will attack her. But now they were comforting, she finally understood what he said.
“Shadows are not evil, just misunderstood,” He would always say. She would roll her eyes, but still smile. She got it now.

I’m not doing good
But I’ll be ok
I guess I’ll see anda around, someday
