Becca's fingers hovered over the keys. She had only played the piano a few times but was willing to try again. She couldn't remember who had taught her, but Becca couldn't care less. She put her hands on the keys, her hands instantly playing a haunting melody. It was the only thing she knew. But she also felt like she needed to play it. Something about the way it called made her want to find out how she had remembered it. The musik was eerie, sending chills down the spins of all who heard. But for Becca, it seemed lebih like a balm to her jantung than a chill down her spine. The musik seemed to flood her senses and Becca was sure she was hypnotizing herself. The tune was just a sense of comfort. Something she could hold on to and not worry about it slipping away. And that was why she was playing. She needed something to hold on to. And she didn't have a guitar.
The musik continued as if Becca never intended to stop. But there was something almost treacherous about it. As Becca played, she was staring at the puncak, atas of the piano. Every note she played seemed to put her in a trance. But Becca could've sworn she saw a shadow. A figure of mist. It sat on puncak, atas of the piano, closer to the edge, with it's legs crossed. As she watched, Becca could easily see it was a male figure. One that she knew. Her fingers froze when she saw eyes the color of blood. A wave of dizziness over took her. She heard a whisper, like someone was talking to her.
Remember...Paris...?
“It wasn't my fault!” Becca screamed.
She stood, walking away from the piano. But something seemed to grab her and she fell to her knees. She looked to find the figure standing in front of her.
You...promised...
“I couldn't do it! It's not my fault!”
Tears streamed from her eyes and the figure knelt in front of her.
You...should have...
“But it wasn't my fault! It's not my fault!”
Cursed...girl...
“What?”
She's...coming...
“I-I don't understand.”
Stay...close...to...home...
Becca blinked, and opened her eyes again. She was still at the piano, her fingers hovering over the keys again. There was no figure and it was as if nothing had happened. Becca looked at her shaking hands. She stood and ran to the control room.
“Beck!”
She found him and ran into his arms.
“Becca! What's wrong?”
“I-I 'm sorry Beck. I need him.”
“Okay. anda want Billy to tell him?”
“No. I'm going your mission. Did Billy take Willow back?”
“Yeah.”
“Okay. Get the others ready. I'll be along in a minute.”
Beck kissed her temple and moved to do as she said. Becca looked at Melody.
“Don't worry Melody. You'll do alright as their leader.”
“I won't forget anda Becca.”
“Same here. I need to go. I have this odd feeling something bad is going to happen.”
