Night fell over Mario Stadium.
And a frustrated Yoshi slumped himself on one of benches oleh the practice courts. He was all alone, desperate to find a partner so he can compete the doubles tournament. He looked down on his shoes and thought to himself about the dire situation he was in, 'If I can't find myself a partner, I'll have to play singles. I know don't want play alone, I want to play with somebody on my side. But who?'

Meanwhile, Birdo had just entered the practice courts. She too, was struggling to find a doubles partner after bunga aster, daisy ditched her in favour...

"How are we a-gonna beat up this whole forest mass? Seriously, we need a game plan," Luigi said, all while dodging and punching the eyeballs that kept coming and going.

"I think I got a few things figured out about what we're facing," Yoshi berkata as he threw another egg at an approaching eyeball. "This guy sees everywhere—obviously since he's got lots of eyes scattered all over the place.
