Chapter Twenty

Jamie groaned loudly when she woke up on her tempat tidur with a blanket over her body and was suffering the nastiest hangover she ever experienced since the Marine Ball she went with Michael almost two years expect that Michael isn’t there. He’s still in California, probably packing his things and heading to the airport and flies his way halaman awal today to be with his wife and three kids. From thinking about him, Jamie felt like she’s about to run over to the nearby bathroom and puke into either the sink, toilet, bath tub, atau the small trashcan which she did without noticing the glass of water that Sean gave her in case she needed it on the bedside table.

After five menit of puking into the toilet, Jamie got herself up and walked selanjutnya to the sink to slaps water on her face to wake herself up and the moment she did that, she reached her hand over to the medicine cabinet over the sink and turned the little knob. The moment she did that, she let the small door take off and detik later, she grabbed her hairbrush to brush her hair and a small bottle of aspirins to stop making her vomiting.

Another five menit passed oleh and after brushing her hair and putting it into a low ponytail, grabbing two tablets of aspirins and once they were in her mouth and chewed on, Jamie grabbed a small glass of water to wash down the pahit taste of the aspirins the moment she smelled the scent of batter cooking over a stove from under the bathroom door. Someone is making breakfast.

Thinking the cook down probably is Mac but until she’s old enough, Mac Thomas is not allowed to be in front of the stove and cooking anything but moments later; Jamie was thinking that the cook might be Sean, making the girls and Jake some breakfast instead of their sick mother. Agreeing about that, Jamie nodded to herself in front of the mirror and berkata to herself with a smile, “Yup, it might be him.”

To see if this is really him and after brushing her teeth, spitting out the paste, drinking some lebih water, and wiping some off her face with a washcloth, Jamie let it land on the tile floor and headed downstairs, through the hallway and once she stopped at the dapur door frame, Jamie ducked her head into the doorway to see if her thought is true? It actually is.

In front of her was Sean who is teaching Mac how to flip the batter on the pan to cook the other side of the batter perfectly, Jamie thinks. Jamie thought of that because Mac kept spilling some of the batter onto the floor and kept stepping on it with her small bare feet. After watching that, Jamie realized that little Izzie is helping them with the breakfast also oleh pouring the jus into the glasses but with this, she kept spilling it while pouring them in and from the look of this, the girls are making a big mess inside their dapur while Jake was laughing on his highchair and smiling at the same time, Boyd was wagging his brown tail with its paws on the small plastic meja attached the highchair and licking the one tahun old’s face in the background.

After about staring at the making of the breakfast and smiling at her three kids with Sean, Izzie noticed her watching them and with her big blue eyes, she berkata to her, “Mama! We making some pancake with Mr. Sean. Wanda see?” and the moment she told her that, Izzie set the carton of jeruk, orange jus on the dapur counter and headed over to Jamie with her arms wide opened.

Squatted down to her middle child’s height, Jamie put Izzie into her arms, gave her a big hug, and the moment she kissed her daughter’s forehead, Jamie berkata to Izzie, “Morning, Iz. Yeah, I want to see.”

After getting kissed oleh her mother and still in her mother’s arms, Izzie looked up to her mother with her blue eyes and nodded at her while smiling and was about to grab her mother’s hand to lead over to Sean and Mac but at the same time she was about to do that, Jamie picked herself up while holding Izzie in her arms and walked over to the stove where Sean and Mac were finishing up the last batch of the pancakes.

When the two girls with the same blue eyes got there, Mac sat down on the dapur counter selanjutnya to the stove, pouring some batter on the pan and letting it cooking. Mac put the bowl down after doing that and turned to her mother who is still holding Izzie in her arms with a big smile on her face and her big brown eyes, she greeted her mother oleh saying to her, “Hey, Mama. Want some pancakes? Sean made those and I helped!”

Seeing the huge amount of lighty brown pancake on the large platter, Jamie smiled at her oldest daughter and berkata to Mac, “Hey, Mac. Yeah, I cinta to have some pancake and anda did a great job with it!”

Mac gave her another huge smile on her face when she heard that and after Mac shown her mother that, Sean turned around to her in front of her with a plastic flipper in his with his dress shirt’s sleeves rolled up to at his elbows and with a smile on his face and his blue eyes shining at her, Sean greeted the woman oleh saying to her, “Morning, Princess! How was your beauty rest?”

Knowing that Sean just made of the first joke of the morning with her baru saja experience of her hangover, Jamie dryly laughed at his joke and berkata back to him, “I’m a little sick but I’m fine. How the kids were doing while I was suffering?”

With a slight grin on his face, Sean told Jamie that the kids were doing fine and once he came in and saw them coming down the stairs, Mac and Izzie ran over to them and jumped on him and demanded him to make some breakfast for them.

Picturing that moment, Jamie smiled at him and berkata to him, “That’s great but how Jake was doing?” With the same grin on his face, Sean answered her pertanyaan oleh saying to her, “Jake was into his sleeping when I got to his room to wake him up and on the way to Jake’s room, I saw that your room was wide opened and didn’t anda know that anda are a loud snorer?”

Jamie playfully slapped Sean’s arm for asking her that and in return, Sean was pretending that he’ s in pain right now which made Mac and Izzie kind of scared of that, thinking that what they saw is true. Seeing the girls’ scared faces, Sean stopped pretending and asked the girls, “Who want some breakfast?”

With a big smile on their faces, the both of them berkata to him, “ME!” After hearing that, Sean turned to Jamie to ask her the same question. In return, Jamie smiled at him and berkata to him, “Yeah.”

The moment he heard that, Sean gave her a boyish grin on his face to Jamie when another voice came into the room and coming from the doorway. “Can I have some too?” asked the voice.

To see who is asking that, Jamie and Sean turned around to the doorway and was quite surprised of who they saw. In front of them is Michael who was staring at them with a suitcase selanjutnya to his shoes, also looking quite surprised of what he saw.

I awoke to the sound of doctors running rampant.
    “How did he near death?”
    “Why did he do it?”
“Was it suicide?” All of these pertanyaan ran through my room. I opened my eyes, I was back in the mental institution. I looked over at my left arm. A cast ran from my wrist to my elbow. I remembered taking the meds, but I didn’t remember breaking my arm. I wonder how that happened.
“Dr. Demidov, how are anda feeling?” A tall, thin man asked. He wore glasses, and he had...

I didn’t know where I was going, but I had to go somewhere. The fight with Grey had been bad. I didn’t feel guilty, and that bothered me. I always felt guilty after a fight, but this seemed to be an exception. I was…happy? No, that wasn’t the word, lebih overjoyed, I guess.
I kept walking; it was around seven when I sank down on the sidewalk. I was tired, and I had nowhere to go. I didn’t know what I was supposed to do…I could always look for Xander, but knowing him, he knew how to cover his tracks. The only person who seemed to know where he was at all times...

"Shiloh, I..." my mouth was dry, and I had no idea what to say. He smiled hopefully at me. I did cinta him, but I'm only eighteen! "I... uh..." The door opened, and Sicily and Chance walked in. Sicily froze when she saw us; my face burning and Shiloh down on one knee. She mouthed "oops" and tip-toed out of the room, still holding Chance. I heard her giggle.

"Well...?" Shiloh prompted, thinking I'd forgotten the sebelumnya conversation. I turned back to him, my mouth still gaping. Then, my jantung seemed to melt. I realized I loved him a lot; and I wanted to spend the rest of my life with him.

Jason: blonde spiky hair, green eyes, wearing his favorit gitar kemeja for almost three days straight, and he’s a teenager, but a rather short one. He has jeruk, orange braces that are spotted easily when he smiles. Jason has an arm that can oddly twist all the way around in a
perfect circle. One of the strangest things about him is a black thing in the shape of a flame on his left leg. People think it’s a poorly drawn drawing, but he was born with it, and as he got older it grew with him.

Jason was sitting oleh the fireplace watching the flames blow from side to side. His eyes liked to find themselves,...

It felt like I had been submerged under water. I was suffocating.
“How could anda leave her?” I managed to get the pertanyaan out of my mouth.
“Genette didn’t tell me she was pregnant. I didn’t even know about Lucy until she was five. oleh then I figured it was too late,” Alexander berkata a look of pain was in his face.
“It’s never too late, Alexander,” I said, angered oleh the fact he would just give that magnificent child up.

“I can’t get anda out of my head either,” I said. Voices broke loose in my head, and I fought to push them all back.
“What are we going to do then?” he asked unaware of the chaos in my mind.
“What do anda mean?” I asked confused.
“We both have feelings for each other. We can’t just ignore it,” Alexander said.
“I know,” I wanted to ignore it no matter what he said. That would be rude though.

Part two, obviously, of the first chapter. No warnings this time, unless anda count lying and subterfuge.

Inheritance

Part Two

Harper, March & Fields wasn’t a law firm I’d ever heard of until a few months yang lalu when I’d received a letter from them concerning my father’s will. It was strange that they’d waited until nine months after my 25th birthday to contact me — especially when the instructions had specifically stated alerting me on that day. Phyllis March wasn’t an entirely unpleasant woman to talk to, but she was fidgety and a little high strung. She...

“I know, and I don’t understand why the memory is resurfacing now,” I berkata shaking my head slightly.
“Do anda think it’s because you’re with Grey lebih often?” Alexander asked. I’d rarely seen Grey while at the asylum. The only people I would talk to was Deborah, Dr. Anozi, Alexander, and a few college professors.
“I don’t know, maybe, but it’s scaring me,” I said. “I spent all last night at...

"The Vampire Society figured out that Aiko was at X Aacademy," Toyo berkata quietly. "So I sent her away."
"Without the protection of other vampires," the King hissed. "Suppose they find out where she is now. Who will protect her? She's as good as dead now!" The King sighed irritably and strode towards the door.
"Inform the Society that I will not be available for the selanjutnya year," he berkata coldly. "And this time, don't mess it up." The King strode out of the...

I sat on a black, leather couch, starring at the deep blue walls. I was in Alexander’s office, for my appointment. I’d come here straight from the cathedral. My hair was tangled, and messy. I still wore plaid pajama bottoms, and an old, gray tee shirt.
I came to a realization last night. Today, I would make my move. I have done enough to hold my own. Now I could be happy…Maybe.
I debated whether, atau not I should tell Alexander about Lucy. Dr. Anozi would’ve liked the idea, but I’m not sure about Dr. Laveney.

I ran my hand through my tired hair. I fell asleep on the attic floor last night, after my outburst. I was tired, and ached everywhere. What a night it had been.
I took my weight of the gurney I had been leaning on. I was at the hospital today, to help calm this schizophrenic man. I arrived here at seven this morning, and had to leave before noon. I couldn’t miss Lucy’s appointment at Social Services.
It was eight-thirty now, and I was getting ready to meet my patient. He was in the emergency room, with the doctor. He’d had a nervous breakdown,...

Chapter 17

“Who killed them?!” Koda growled.
Iah was trying to keep Koda calm; from his few encounters with this one he knew anger was Koda’s worst enemy.
“I am not sure…” he replied softly.
“How can anda not know!?” he screamed, charging after Iah. He dug his fingers into Iah’s chest as they turned to claws, slamming him to the ground, his dark red eyes bored into Iah’s sending dark chills through his mind. “You know everything else but anda don’t know who killed them?”
Iah cringed in pain, trying to speak.
“I do not know but…I have a feeling who may have done…it”...

I had my first client today. I was to go to a middle school, and talk with an obsessive-compulsive child. Her name was Lucy Taylor. She was starting to be teased oleh other students. It was not right; it’s not as if she could help it.
I walked into the main entrance of the school. The halls were the color of dirt, the lockers a mucus green. I saw kids with name brand clothing going down the halls. As I walked toward the big sign that berkata Guidance Counselor on the front, I saw a group of kids. They were all against the left side of the hall. They were all dressed in...

Today was my first hari working for the mental institution. I woke around ten, and got a shower. I dressed in my black pants, shoes, and shirt. Over the kemeja was my white doctor’s jacket. The color white didn’t’ suite me, but it’s not like I hade a choice in wearing it.
I walked to work. The asylum was only three blocks away. As I walked I worried over people criticizing me. Or, making fun of me. What if I treated the wrong patient? What if I messed something up? What if I got lost?

When I woke up, all the windows were covered in snow, surrounding me, isolating me from others. My stomach growled, but I didn't want to leave. I feared if I didn't get a job, I'd lose everything. I got out of the car, still wearing my clothes from yesterday, which was nothing but jeans, converse, and a black penyu, kura-kura neck. Not wanting to waste valuable gas, I walked around town. My stomach growled again, and the thing inside me kicked a series of blows for a couple seconds.

The buildings here were tall, and far away I could see the new, fancy skyscrapers. But here, the buildings were old and...

I stroll down Western Avenue with a blue coin tas, dompet in my fragile hands. People in every direction as far as the eye can see. Neighbors being neighborly, store keepers selling and people riding the subway to work. Today happens to be a Saturday morning. And as usual, I awaken in the morning at six o'clock and dress. Every Saturday morning is the same old thing. I turn to the corner seeing the store I've been looking for. Roosevelt Island Shop. Yes. Indeed I live on the island of Roosevelt Island. It's very exhilirating to walk in the streets of our state of New York. As I enter the small shop,...

A little while after the holidays, Alice left for California. It wasn't long before I felt the despair of loneliness. Alice was the only one I've really talked to for months. Once she was gone, for the first time in a long time it felt like I had really run away. Not like I had gone to a aman, brankas haven, but like I really was in an unfamiliar town.

I went to work , and Alice had only been gone for two days. Work just wasn't fun that day. I found it harder to be nice to rude customers, and the hari seemed endless.

"Yeah, Alice kind of brings light to this place, huh?" Georgie, the cook asked. I nodded...
