Adding something that's unrelated to a story might bring confusion for the reader. In general, I find "pregnancy scares" cliche. Of course, it all depends on how it's done and what's going on around it. If it's unrelated to the secara keseluruhan, keseluruhan plot, it would feel superfluous to me. There are all sorts of ways to add tension, and while many of them may feel cliche, they would probably be a better fit overall.

Well, I think acak pregnancy scares are pretty cliché. Unless, of course, it link to another event in the story (e.g. sleeping with boyfriend) If it's not linked to anything, it completely throws readers off and confuses them, making the story boring.

Yes and No. I think that if it's one expected thing, then it's not okay. anda do not want the reader to figure out what's really happening. If it's something unexpected, I think that it can be a good thing.
