Scourge sat in silence as he heard the story. How could anyone be so cruel? Especially her own mother?! Why blame her for what her father did, then she killed her own son, and practically sentenced her other daughter to her death! Scorchpaw ended when she collapsed. She cut off with a whimper, Scourge licked her cheek in an effort to comfort her. She blinked gratefully at him. When a rusty purr sounded. "How sweet." The 2 kucing wheeled around to see a light brown cat with black rings around his tail. Scourge arched his back. "What do anda want?!" The loner purred. "Nothing much. A place to sleep, some fresh kill." His emas eyes rested on Scorchpaw. "And maybe this little cutie." This sent Scourge over the edge. He unsheathed his claws, and bared his fangs. "You. Will. Not. Touch. Her!" Scourge leaped at the loner, but his size allowed the loner to bat him off easily. "Now then..." He stalked over towards Scorchpaw. "Never!" She spat, leaping at the loner. The loner leaped back in surprise, and backed away fearfully. "Alright, I'll just take him off your paws." He went for Scourge. "Keep your paws off my mate!" She spat. The loner's eyes widened. "He-He's your mate?" "Yes,so keep your paws off him!" The loner berkata nothing but turned tail and ran. Scourge stepped up. "Thanks Scorchpaw, anda saved me." She purred. "Any time."
