Everyone seems to be hating on Hydra. What do anda guys think?

I like covers from some people myself. But, with Within Temptation, i prefer their own stuff. I didn't hate the album, but it wasn't like their usual stuff.

Eh, I don't like it but I don't hate it. As I've stated before, it doesn't have that dramatic edge that all of their sebelumnya albums had and it's too peppy for me. Symphonic Metal is my favorit genre for a reason, and this album sounded a bit too much like all those current pop/rock bands that I dislike and I prize the entire Symphonic Metal genre over.

I thought Hydra was a very different album, they were experimenting with different sounds. secara keseluruhan, keseluruhan its pretty good, But not as good as TSF..

I also really liked Covered oleh mawar and several songs from The Unforgiving, despite preferring their earlier material.
