Jacob nodded. I looked at Edward who was still giving Jacob death stares. How could I be so stupid? How could I think that I would ever live happily ever after with Edward? He was a freaking vampire for Christ sake! I didn’t need Jacob to tell me the venom wasn’t stopping me getting older, I could have told myself that.
