"I wonder how many friends I will make! Like anda and Aunt Alice, and Aunt Rose, and Uncle Emmett and Uncle Jasper and Daddy are all friends. Oh, and Aunt Angela and Ben." I was smiling down at Alicen as she ran throught clothes racks at Carter's. "Mommy." She stopped infront of me.
"Yes?" I looked down at her.
"Do anda think the other girls and boys will like me? What if they call me names atau make fun of me." She hung her head.
I bent down to her eye level and tucked a few curls behind her ear. "Why would anda think that?" I asked.
She shrugged her shoulders. "I dunno'."
