Chapter 4. Half-Breed

"Yea it's me, I'm guessing Jacob already told anda why I'm like this." Charlie berkata walking towards Billy.
"Yea, I told him everything." Jacob berkata looking at Billy.
"You look like you're doing alright." Billy said, and then he saw me, oleh his expression, I'm guessing Jacob didn't tell him about me.
"Bella?" Billy berkata in shock.
"Yea umm I kinda didn't tell him about anda Bella." Jacob said, his cheeks were getting red.
"Yes, it's me Billy, I'm a vampire too." I berkata trying to keep him calm.
"But why are anda one of them?" He asked still staring, Charlie looked back at me.
"Well, I'm the reason Charlie is a vampire, I wanted to stay with Edward forever, and he refused to change me. So I came up here and I put my mortality to a vote and most of them berkata yes. Carlisle was going to change me, but then I asked Edward to do it and he berkata yes I was unconsious for three days, the venom was horible. They sent out a cari team for me. Charlie got mad and came over here to take me halaman awal and I refused, he was going to hit Edward but I stopped his fist mid-hit, therefore breaking a couple of bones and one punctured a critical vien, but before I would let him die, I told Carlisle to change him." I berkata as Edward stood up along with me and put his arm around my waist and kissed the puncak, atas of my head.
"If Bella hadn't told Carlisle to change me, I would be dead, well actually I am dead, but I'm still ali- O well anda get what I mean." Charlie berkata scratching his head.
"Yea I do.Thank anda Bella for not letting him go, I don't think I could take that, I mean sure, you're a vampire, but I won't let that come between our friendship." Billy berkata looking at me then back at Charlie.
"No problem." I berkata looking at Billy as Edward put his arms around me from behind and kissed the puncak, atas of my head, I put my hands on his.
"Well we are just going to leave anda two to talk." Edward berkata smiling.
"Yea, I saw Emmett out in the woods yesterday and he berkata that he wanted me to drop oleh becuse he wanted me to help fix something so I'm just gonna go find him." Jacob berkata pointing out towards the garasi before he ran off.

Charlie and Billy talked for a good three hours then Jacob came back into the living room and told Billy that they needed to go because it was getting late. Edward and I walked back into the living room, we had been in the dapur discussing how we would tell everyone about our engagement.
"Hey umm Bella, I'm starting to get thirsty again, can we go hunting?" Charlie berkata scratching the back of his head.
"Uh yea we were just comming in here to ask if anda wanted to go hunting with us." Edward berkata looking at me then back at Charlie. This would be the first time that Charlie had hunted with anyone other than Carlisle.
We ran a good distance into the woods when we spotted a small herd of deer. Charlie stood over beside us with a look of guilt on his face, me and Edward were just going in for the kill when a feeling of guilt washed over me. I felt like I couldn't harm a living creature, no matter how thirsty I was. I looked over at Edward and he looked the same way. Edward looked over at Charlie and read his mind. I grabbed Edward's hand and read his thoughts.
Charlie doesn't want to see anda attack and drain the life out of a poor inocent deer. Edward read off of Charlie's mind. I figured out Charlie's talent at that moment and so did Edward. I let go of his hand.
"Dad, stop concentrating on us for a second." I berkata and Charlie looked away.
The feeling disappeared and Edward and grabbed our meal before Charlie looked back at us.

After we ate we went back to the house, Edward and I needed to talk to Charlie.
"Charlie, we've figured out what your talent is." Edward berkata looking at me then back at Charlie.
"What is it?" Charlie berkata skeptically.
"Well, when we were in the woods hunting, there was a reason that I told anda to stop concentrating on me and Edward." I berkata looking at Charlie. My body was starting to tingle; I blew it off and thought nothing of it.
"When anda concentrate on someone hard eneough, anda can make a feeling of guilt wash over the person, making them unable to harm anything atau anyone." Edward berkata looking deep into Charlie's deep crimson red eyes.
"It's li-" I started to say, but a deep pain surged through my body I took in one deep breath and then everything went black, the ground swirled in to my face and the last thing I heard was Edward calling Carlisle before everything went black. Then I sunk into a painful sleep.





I woke up to the sound of a beeping noise in Carlisle's 'minature' hospital in the upstairs portion of the house. I had no idea how long I had been asleep, I thought I would never sleep again, so this would probally be the last time I woke up again. I looked down and there was an IV in my hand something was wrong. The first person I saw was Edward but something was missing, immediatly I sat up.
"Edward!" I berkata alert and not calm, the pain returned and I layed back down to ease the pain. It had felt like someone had attacked me.
"Carlisle!" Edward yelled alarmed.
"Edward, why am I hurting so bad?" I berkata through the pain that still surged through my body.
Carlisle appeared in the room.
"You're awake, good. Edward I think anda might need to tell her what happened, anda were there with her and she might take it a little better if anda told her." Carlisle said, a look of sorrow on his face.
"Bella, you've been attacked, Victoria had a twin sister, Laraun and she was angry that we destroyed Victoria, she wanted payback. She can reverse the power of vampire venom and make a vampire half vampire and half human; that's her talent and that is what she has done to you. After that she grabbed one of the knife's out of the dapur and ripped a giant hole in your back, It might have damaged anda spinal cord, and a good three inches of the pisau broke off into your back. She also tried to kill Charlie." Edward said. My Brain focused on one word, Charlie; she tried to kill Charlie. I winced at the pain that still surged through my body. Edward cringed away at the sight of me in pain.
"Charlie- is he okay?" I berkata franticly through the pain.
Carlsile was pumping fluid through a clear medicine bag that was attached to the IV.
"Yes Bella, her talent didn't work on him, it works on very few vampire all he has is a few cuts.
"How do anda feel Bella?" Carlisle berkata as Edward held my hand.
"I'm hurting; bad. I'm human now?" I berkata as tears filled my eyes. The only reason I ever changed into a vampire and went through all of that pain was for Edward so we could be together forever, and now I wasn't going to live forever.
"Only half human half vampire; a half-breed. I've done some reading, and your still immortal, your jantung has restarted itself and is pumping blood again and your tear ducts are working again. Your skin is now warm, but not completely hot as a normal human's would be. Instead of sparkling in the sunlight, your skin gives off a glow and it is as strong as a vampire's. Your eyes are still golden and anda are still very, very strong like a vampire. So basically, anda are still one of us but anda just have some human traits now." Carlsile berkata looking worried that I was crying.
"I'm still immortal? I'll never change again?" I berkata as lebih tears rolled down my cheeks.
"No Bella, you'll never change again, anda are Frozen in time as anda are right now. Even if your jantung for some reason stops, you'll still live, anda will never die. Isn't that what anda wanted?" Edward berkata as he held my hand.
"Oh no Edward!" I berkata as I reached around- fighting through the pain- and hugged Edward. I squeezed my eyes shut to maybe survive the pain. The horrible stabbing pain raced through my body. I layed back down almost immediatly
"What's wrong Bella?" Edward berkata concerned of my strange mood as he wiped the tears from my eyes.
"I though that when anda berkata 'half human and half vampire' I thought that meant that I wouldn't be immortal anymore and I wouldn't get to spend eternity with anda like I want too." I said, still fighting the pain that surged through my body as I winced.
"Oh Bella, anda are still going to be able to spend eternity with me, if anda had died, instead of bieng turned into just half human, I couldn't live. I cinta You. There is nothing that can rip me away from you. Nothing can come between us." Edward berkata as he kissed the puncak, atas of my forehead.
"Without you, I have nothing to live for." Edward berkata looking into my revived soul.
"I cinta anda too Edward." I berkata looking deep into his eyes.
He sat down in the chair beside the tempat tidur and continued to hold my hand as if to say, 'I'm here Bella and I'll never leave your side.' That made some of the pain go away. But there was one pertanyaan left.
"What about Victoria's sister?" I berkata with large amounts of concern in my voice as I took my other hand and wiped a tear from my eye.
"Emmett and Jasper mencium Laraun and came to destroy her, but right after anda passed out she ran away, I wanted to help them hunt for her, but I was too concerned about you." Edward berkata looking at Carlsile, who was taking my pulse.
"Where is Rosalie, Alice, and Esme?" I berkata curious.
"They went shopping after we got back from hunting. They don't know about this yet." Edward berkata looking back at me.
"Bella, I need to sew your back up ,get that pisau tip out, and see what other damage she has done. I just put some steri strips on The gash to segel it so anda wouldn't loose anymore blood than anda already have. I'm going to put anda to sleep for awhile. Edward will still be right here oleh your side when anda wake up." Carlisle berkata as Edward put both hands on mine.
"I cinta anda and I'll be here when anda wake up." Edward whispered as he kissed my forehead. Carlisle started pumping lebih clear liquids down the I.V. My eyes started to feel heavy, then everything went black as I drifted off into a deep sleep.




I woke up to the annoying beeping sound. Immediatly I looked over and Edward wasn't there, I paniced. I sat up and looked around, I was alone. Pain shot up my back and into my whole body I layed back down helplessly.
"Edward, Carlisle!" I nearly screamed, Carlisle appeared selanjutnya to my bed.
"Bella, what's wrong?." Carlsile berkata alarmed.
"Where's Edward!?" I berkata franticly.
"Laraun has come back and she has taken Charlie. He went with the others to try to find them, Jacob and his friends are outside surrounding the house in case she comes back here." Carlisle berkata soothingly. Tears rolled down my cheeks.
Charlie- she took Charlie and Edward is looking for that deranged, crazy, maniac of a vampire.
"She took Charlie?!" I berkata as a mixture of anger and worry came into my voice. lebih tears streamed down the side of my face, I took my hand and wiped them away, as I lifted my arm, pain surged into my back.
"Yes, but Edward and the others will find them. Okay? Don't worry, oleh tonight Charlie will be back, trust me, Edward knows how much anda cinta Charlie, and he will find him no matter what. Just don't try to get up okay? I don't want those stitches comming out." Carlisle berkata with sympothy in his voice. He placed his hand on my shoulder.
He saw the panic creeping back into my eyes.
"Everything is going to be okay. I'll go get Jacob, he has been very worried about you." Carlsile berkata as he walked out of the room. Charlie was gone. Why did I have to be so selfish. If I hadn't of made the choice for Edward to turn me, we could still be at halaman awal watching baseball on the flatscreen and eating cobler every afternoon at the diner. Carlsile stepped into the room with Jacob in tow.
"Bella are anda feeling okay?" He berkata as he came into the room.
"No I feel like crap." I berkata jokingly trying to lighten the mood and get my mind off of Charlie and Edward. I wish that Jasper was here. Jacob chuckled as he sat down at the foot of the bed.
"So anda and Edward finnaly killed Victoria?" Jacob berkata with a sigh.
"Well, actually Edward was the one to kill her. She had even made two newborns to help destroy me, that's how bad she wanted me dead." I berkata as my thoughts flickered to the memories I still had of her, I wish that I could just lock them in the farthest corner of the realm of my mind and just never remember them again. To just forget those awfull memories.
"That would explain why her twin sister wants to kill you, she probally thought that anda killed Victoria." Jacob berkata with another sigh.
"I hope Edward finds Laraun and Charlie, I swear if she puts one finger on Charlie, if she harms him in any way-" I started to say before I was interupted oleh Carlisle.
"Jacob! Come outside, it's Laraun, she's here, with Charlie!" Carlisle berkata alarmingly as he appeared in the room suddenly.
"I'll be back." Jacob berkata as he jogged out of the doorway.
"Bella, I need to go and help them, I'll be back with Edward soon okay, don't worry, we'll get Charlie back unharmed." Carlisle berkata as he checked the IV pole and dissapeared out the doorway.
I didn't want to think about what was going on outside. Millions of thoughts and tidak terjawab pertanyaan rushed into my mind like a flood. Is Charlie going to be okay? What about Edward? I hope he is going to be okay. What about jacob and the rest of the pack? They sh- My thoughts were interupted oleh a crash followed oleh a ripping noise. Immediatly I thought about Edward and Charlie, they were the two most important things on my mind right now. I heard lebih ripping noises, the same noises that I heard when we destroyed Vicoria and her two newborns. lebih pain surged up my back and into my whole body at the horrible thought that rushed into my mind.
Everything went silent.
Cahrlie appeared at the doorway.
"Bella." Charlie breathed as he came into the room.
"Dad!" I berkata as I tried to reach around to hug him, but the pain held me back.
"Are anda okay?" I berkata looking up into Charlie's crimson red eyes as Carlisle came into the room and Edward followed behind him.
"Yea, I'm fine." Charlie berkata as he breathed a sigh of relief.
"Where's Edward!?" I berkata very concerned over him.
"Bella!" Edward berkata as he appeared quickly at my bedsaide.
"Edward!" I berkata as I fought through the pain and reached up to hug him. The pain and agony that surged through my body like an electric current was unbearable. As he was hugging his arms around me, I had to lay back down. I squeezed my eyes shut in pain.
"Laraun is gone, anda don't have to worry about her anymore and she can't cause anda anymore pain." Edward berkata as our lips met for a brief moment.
"Where is Jacob and the others?" I berkata worried.
"Jacob had told Billy where he was going before he came up here him the rest of the pack and Jacob went back to tell Billy and Emily that they were okay. Rosalie, Alice, Jasper, and Emmett went to check the surrounding woods to make sure laraun didn't create any friends for backup." Edward berkata smiling as he sat down on the foot of the bed.
"I'm so happy that anda are okay Bells!" Charlie berkata as he leaned on the dinding on the right of me.
"I was so worried about you!" I berkata as lebih tears rolled down my cheeks.
"It was like Laraun wanted to die, she just needed something to motivate us to kill her, she sure did motivate us." Edward berkata as he looked over his shoulder at Carlisle walked into the room then back at Charlie.
"Wait, she wanted for anda to kill her?" I berkata confused.
"Yea, she berkata quote, "I have been trying to kill myself ever since I heard that Victoria died, she was the only thing that kept me from killing myself, she didn't want me to die. Kill me now atau I'll hurt your little friend here." I didn't know what to do at that point, but I had so much anger built up that she hurt anda that I just lunged at her. Then she let go of Charlie. She had no will to live." Edward berkata looking at me then at Charlie.
"I tried to fight back at her, but she kept me in a head-lock, and no matter how hard I tried to escape, she just kept dragging me along." Charlie berkata shaking his head in pity at his own strength.
"That's just not right." I berkata looking at Carlisle.
"So how are anda feeling?" Charlie berkata as he sat down in the chair beside my tempat tidur and put his hand over mine.
"I'm still in alot of pain." I berkata looking at Charlie.
"O and Bella, I found the tip of the pisau and got it out. And when the pisau went into your back, it came about a quarter of an inch close to damaging a critical vein and your spinal cord. It landed right in between the two. I stitched your back up so try not to pindah around alot. But other than that, anda should be just fine. Carlisle berkata as he came over to me and held a light up to my eyes and told me to look at his finger. Then he put his stethescope to my chest.
"Yep, your jantung is beating again. anda just need some rest." He berkata smiling as he stood back up.
"Why did Laraun's power work on me and not the others?" I berkata looking at Edward, Charlie, and then back at Carlsile.
"It only works on certain people. Why it worked on anda and nobody else is a mystery I guess." Carlisle berkata shrugging.
"You don't know how hapy I am to see that anda are okay, I thought that she had- killed -you, but when anda opened your eyes if I could cry; if that were possible in my physical state, I would have been in tears." Edward berkata as he took my hand in his. He winced when he berkata the word 'killed' It put him in pain to think of me dead.
"Edward, should we tell them?" I berkata looking at Edward, then Charlie, then Carlisle. Edward nodded.
"Tell us what?" Charlie berkata suspicious.
"What is it?" Carlisle berkata looking as suspicious as Charlie.
"We're engaged." Edward berkata taking a deep breath, as a smile spread across our faces, Charlie's face lit up and so did Carlisle's.
"That's wonderful! Congradulations." Carlsile berkata putting his hand on my shoulder, as he smiled from ear to ear.
"When are ya'll gonna have the wedding?" Charlie berkata smiling and excited.
"Well, we don't really now yet." I berkata taking a deep breath.
"Well, today is May 12th. What about the June 13th? anda are going to need time to heal." Edward berkata looking at me, then at Charlie.
"That will work for me. That should give us enough time to plan the wedding." I berkata smiling at Edward.
"Just wait till Alice hears about this." Carlisle berkata chuckling.
"She's gonna go nuts." Charlie mused laughing along with Carlisle. Edward and I laughed at the thought.
Emmett, Rosalie, Alice, Jasper, and Esme came into the room.
"Laraun is gone. How are anda feeling Bella?" Jasper berkata looking at me.
"I still hurt alot when I try to move." I berkata looking at Edward then at Jasper.
"Laraun really took a toll on anda didn't she?" Esme berkata worried.
"Yea, she really put the hurt on me." I berkata taking a deep breath of air.
"What was her talent anyways?" Rosalie berkata holding Emmett's hand.
"She can reverse the power of vampire venom, therefore making a vampire half-human, half-vampire." Edward berkata looking at Rosalie, then he turned his head back around to look at me.
"That means......." Rosalie trailed off, then comprehenson flickered onto her face.
"Bella is a half-breed. Her jantung is pumping blood again therefore giving her cheeks a blush of pink. Her skin is still strong, and so is she, she just has some minor changes." Carlisle berkata looking at Rosalie.
"But Charlie was around her for some time, doesn't that mean he is a half-breed too?" Emmett berkata looking a little confused.
"No, it didn't work on me." Charlie berkata looking somewhat confused like Emmett.
"But that doesn't make any sense." Alice berkata looking at Carlislse.
"I know, but I don't know why it only changed Bella and not the rest of us." Carlisle berkata loking at Alice, then back at me then at Charlie.
"Bella, needs to rest, we should go." Jasper berkata guesturing towards the stairwell.
"Bye Bella I'l be back to check up on anda after while." Esme berkata smiling.
"Yea, I'll come check on anda later too." Alice berkata as Jasper pulled her towards the stairs with the others, then they all vanished.
"But I don't want to rest, I feel fine." I berkata reassuringly.
"Bella, if anda don't go to sleep now and get some rest, all of the energy that Laraun took out of anda will make anda crash. I'll still be here when anda wake up." Edward berkata brushing soem hair out of my face with his hand.
"No, I'm fine." I berkata looking at Edward, I didn't want to go back to sleep, I felt fine.
Carlsile dashed out of the room and then was back in a membagi, split detik with a bag of fluids in his hand.
"I'm sorry Bella, but anda need your rest, anda can't just stay awake anda ned energy." Carlisle berkata as he started pumping the clear liquid down the IV. My body went cold as I sunk into a deep painless sleep.





I slowly opened my eyes and the first thing I heard was the annoying beeping sound again.
"Edward." I berkata grogily as I took a deep breath and looked over and saw Edward sitting in the chair beside the bed.
"Morning Bella." Edward berkata smiling.
"It's morning?" I berkata confused and disoriented.
"Yes, Carlisle put anda to sleep at five PM, anda slept all night long. But Bella, I have some news, I'm not sure if this is good atau bad, but Renee wants to visit. She called Charlie last night, her and Phill got divorced." Edward berkata putting his hand on mine.
"But she can't visit, she'll notice mine and Charlie's skin and our eyes, she'll notice that something is wrong." I berkata starting to panic. lebih pain jolted into my back and spine. I winced.
"Bella, Carlisle has it all figured out." Edward berkata assuringly.
"Okay, where is Charlie?" I berkata curiously.
"He is out hunting with the others. I went hunting early this morning before anda woke up. Alice made Charlie promise not to concentrate on them so they could hunt and not feel guilty, and Carlisle got called in to work at the hospital." Edward berkata smiling as he laughed.
"I can't wait for our wedding." I berkata smiling as I leaned up a little to ciuman Edward. He kissed me back gently.
"Wedding!? Why didn't anda tell me sooner?" Alice beamed as she hopped into the room, a big smile on her face. Edward leaned back and looked up at Alice. I layed back down.
"You were easedropping on us?" I berkata looking playfully at her.
"No, I saw it in a vision I had while I was hunting with the others." Alice berkata matter-of-factly.
"Did anda tell the others?" Edward asked curious.
"No, they didn't even know that I had a vision." Alice berkata sitting down on the foot of my bed.
Rosalie, Jasper, Emmett, and Esme came into the room.
"Hey Bella. How are anda feeling?" Esme berkata as she appeared at the side of my bed.
"I'm feeling better." I berkata taking a deep breath.
"we would have come in earlier, but we didn't want to wake anda up." Esme berkata smiling that sweet inocent smile of hers.
"Uh Bella and I have something to tell all of you." Edward berkata putting his hand on puncak, atas of mine and smiling that inoxicating smile of his.
"What?" Emmet berkata smiling a little bit.
"What is it?" Rosalie berkata looking a bit concerned.
"Is something wrong?" Jasper berkata looking a bit confused.
"No Jasper nothing is wrong." I berkata smiling and biting down on my bottom lip.
"Then what is it?" Jasper berkata as Alice came over and put her arms around his torso. Jasper put his arm around her.
"Edward and I are getting married." I berkata smiling from ear to ear, but the smile faded a little when the pain returned.
"Congradulations!" Esme said, extremly excited.
"Nice." Emmett berkata comming over and patting Edward on the shoulder.
"Congradulations." Jasper berkata smiling.
"I'm very happy for you." Rosalie berkata smiling.
"Well we need to start planning the wedding now don't we?" Alice berkata skipping back over to my bedside.
"Yes we do." I berkata smiling. Edward looked at me and smiled.

I was getting married, to Edward, the cinta of my life, the cinta of my existance. I loved him lebih than anything and nothing will change that.
