My eyes shut with panic as I struggled out of the cold grip. She tightened her grip around my hand, leaning in.

It's helping, for now.” I watched as the clear liquid moved from Edwards arm through the tangle of cords around Alice. I closed my eyes, feeling slightly nauseous. I took deep breaths in through my nose, trying to calm myself down. I glanced back to Alice, squeezing her hand.
