Even when they weren't together as a couple, I still loved any Derek and Meredith scenes that I could get. I hated Addison and Finn for coming between them. Derek divorcing Addison and Meredith dumping Finn was what I lived for because Derek and Meredith were back together. I loved it when they worked on the clincial trial because they were still having scenes together. The episode "Freedom" really made sense for me because the end of the episode was when they got back together.
Derek: Meredith....
Meredith: Stupid, corny, idiotic, I can't believe I did this. Stupid, loser, son of a ... I could be at halaman awal instead of ... oh
Derek: Meredith....
Meredith: Where have anda been?! I've been waiting and waiting for you! And I did this stupid, embarrassing, humiliating, corny thing. And I was just gonna tell anda that, this over here is our dapur and this is our living room, and over there that's the room our kids could play. I had this whole thing about I was gonna build us a house, but I don't build houses because I'm a surgeon. And now I'm here feeling like a lame pantat, keledai loser. I got all whole and healed and anda don't tampil up. And now it's all ruined because anda took so long to come home! And I couldn't even find that bottle of champagne ... (Derek holds up the bottle and smiles)
Derek: It's the kitchen? Living room - a little small. The view's much better from here. And that's where the kids are going to play? Where's our bedroom?
Meredith: I'm still mad at anda and I don't know if I trust you, I wanna trust you, but I don't know if I do. So I'm just gonna try, I'm gonna try and trust you. Because I believe that, we can be extraordinary together. rather than ordinary apart and I wanna be ... (he kisses her)
Derek: I have to go.
Meredith: What?
Derek: In order to ciuman anda the way I wanna ciuman anda and in order to do lebih than ciuman anda I need to speak to Rose. I want my conscience clear so I can do lebih than ciuman you. Stay here, don't move, wait for me.
In addtion to this episode, I also liked the moment where Derek confessed to Meredith he was in cinta with her.
Derek: I wanted to come over here this morning to tell you... But now all I want to tell anda is that I'm in cinta with you. I've been in cinta with anda forever. And now anda have a choice to make. I want anda to take all the time anda need, I don't want to rush you, but I cinta you. Just take your time. Because when I had to make a choice... I chose wrong.
I also loved to the part where Derek answered Meredith's pertanyaan about when the last time they kissed was.
Derek: I wanted to come over here this morning to tell you... But now all I want to tell anda is that I'm in cinta with you. I've been in cinta with anda forever. And now anda have a choice to make. I want anda to take all the time anda need, I don't want to rush you, but I cinta you. Just take your time. Because when I had to make a choice... I chose wrong.
I also loved the part where Derek answered Meredith's pertanyaan about their last kiss.
MEREDITH: "I can't, I can't remember our last kiss. All I could think about was 'I'm going to die today' and I can't remember our last kiss. Which is pathetic but the last time we were together and happy... I want to be able remember that. And I can't, Derek. I can't remember."
DEREK: "I'm glad anda didn't die today."
[pause]
DEREK: "It was a Thursday morning, anda were wearing that ratty little Dartmouth t-shirt anda look so good in. The one with the hole at the back of the neck. You'd just washed anda hair and smelled like some kind of... flower. I was running late for surgery, anda berkata anda were going to see me later, and anda lean to me, put your hand on my chest and anda kissed me. Soft. It was quick. Kind of like a habit. anda know, like we'd do it everyday for the rest of our lives. Then anda went back membaca the newspaper and I went to work. That was the last time we kissed."
Derek and Meredith are my favorit couple because even though they've been through hell, they find a way back to each other such as Derek calling her a whore and ending up with them having sex in the exam room at prom. I thought that angry and jealous Derek was sexy.
MEREDITH: "Hey..."
DEREK: "How's my dog?"
MEREDITH: "Much better. Finn is running tests-"
DEREK: "Good. Good."
MEREDITH: "Our dog."
DEREK: "What?"
MEREDITH: "Our dog. anda berkata my dog. He's our dog."
DEREK: "Yeah, whatever."
MEREDITH: "Are anda mad at me atau something?"
DEREK: [walks away] "Now's not the time."
DEREK: "How the hell did anda let a patient get that far from your watch?"
MEREDITH: "I turned my back for a second."
DEREK: "He was in the damn gallery!"
MEREDITH: "He's a surgical intern at Mercy West..."
DEREK: "I don't care if he's the Surgeon General. In this hospital he's patient with a head injury who needs a CT. In this hospital he's a scared guy who doesn't need to see the mass of internal injuries of the woman he ran into with his car! This is your fault! anda had him and anda lost him! You've got to take responsibility for your actions, for once in your life!" [walks away]
MEMEREDITH: "I never should have told anda about George."
DEREK: "No, its fine. I'm glad I know about him, and the vet. anda really get around."
MEREDITH: "What did anda just say to me?"
DEREK: "It's unforgivable."
MEREDITH: "I don't remember ever asking anda to forgive me."
DEREK: "So, was the knitting a phase? Who's next? Alex? I hear he likes to sleep around too. anda two have that in common."
MEREDITH: "Derek!"
MEREDITH: "You don't get to call me a whore. When I met you, I thought I had found the person that I was going to spend the rest of my life with. I was done! All the boys and all the bars and all the obvious daddy issues, who cares? I was done. anda left me. anda chose Addison. I'm all glued back together now. I make no apologies for how I chose to repair what anda broke. anda don't get to call me a whore."
DEREK: "This thing with us is finished. It's over."
MEREDITH: "Finally."
DEREK: "Yeah, it's done."
MEREDITH: "It is done."
DEREK: "Meredith."
MEREDITH: "Leave me alone."
DEREK: "Meredith-"
MEREDITH: "Just leave me alone!"
DEREK: "I just want to make sure you're alright."
MEREDITH: "No! I'm not alright? Okay? Are anda satisfied? I'm not alright. Because anda have a wife, and anda call me a whore, and our dog died, and now you're looking at me again. Stop looking at me."
DEREK: "I'm not looking at you. I am not looking at you."
MEREDITH: "You are looking at me. And anda watch me. And Finn has plans. I like Finn. He's perfect for me, and I'm really trying here to be happy, and I feel like I can't breathe. I can't breathe with anda looking at me like that, so just stop!"
DEREK: "You think I want to look at you? That I wouldn't rather be looking at my wife? I'm married. I have responsibilities. She doesn't drive me crazy. She doesn't make it impossible for me to feel normal. She doesn't make me sick to my stomach thinking about my veternarian touching her with his hands. Man, I would give anything to not be looking at you!"
DEREK: "What does this mean?"
MEREDITH: "Uh, I had panties on. Black ones. Do anda see them?"
DEREK: "What does this mean?"
MEREDITH: "Fix your tie."
DEREK: "Meredith, what does this mean!?"
Their engagement and the moment leading up to it was perfect.
Richard: Wait. Um. Wait. No. anda can't take that one.
Meredith: Why not?
Richard: I berkata don't take it.
Meredith: I will take the elevator I want to take.
Derek: Hey. Come on in. This is a CT of Katie Bryce. 16 tahun old female, subarachnoid aneurysm.
Meredith: From a fall during rhythmic gymnastics. I remember.
Derek: I remember, it was the first surgery we ever scrubbed in together on. Our first save. Right here is a cerebral cyst. Tough save, but we did it. And this is today, post op head CT of Izzie Stevens. anda see that? Right there. Tumor free. Because of you. anda got me into the OR. If there's a crisis, anda don't freeze, anda pindah forward. anda get the rest of us to pindah forward. Because you've seen worse. You've survived worse, and anda know we'll survive too. anda say you're all dark and twisty. It's not a flaw, it's a strength. It makes anda who anda are.
