Musa's Redesign

KataraLover This was a really fun redesign to do because for starters, Musa is one of my favorite characters from Winx Club and was my favorite member of the Winx Club until Layla came to be. I imagine her being the shortest member of the group because I love the idea of this loud and spunky personality coming out of this tiny person. I did make some changes with her hair not looking so chopped but more messy and punk looking. The most notable change is that her outfit is purple instead of red because I had to make her purple so that Bloom could be red and Layla could be blue. So I changed what was purple in her original outfit to be red so that her outfit wouldn't be completely purple. I also made her skin more brown rather than just making her a pale Asian. Yes, pale Asians are real and deserve representation but so do Asians of other skin tones. I really love the way her long hair looks, as well as her short hair. The body I used was Gogo from Big Hero 6 (As well as her bangs), the face of Akima from Titan AE, the eyes of Mulan, and the combined nose of Mulan and Akima. Since I changed her outfit from red to purple, I changed the background so that it wouldn't clash. I went with red because of how she has some red one her, it was the color of her original outfit, and red is an important color in Chinese culture (Since she was modeled after Lucy Liu). Out of all the things I hate about the Netflix reboot, Fate: The Winx Saga, the thing I hate the most is the blatant whitewashing. No, I don't think it's right to go after the actors to attack them on social media but I do think the actor still holds a level of responsibility, especially when it comes to the character not being cast racially correct. Musa was ruined in other ways but the whitewashing was the WORST part. Magical flowers! Digital powers! Rhythms and tunes!
