Chapter 2: Rose's Change Of Nature
I opened the doorknob and smiled at the person I saw in front of me. It was a guy who had dark blue, spiky hair, dark and mysterious blue eyes and creamy, pale and flawless skin. He was Helia. "Hey Helia," I reached out to him with an extended hand. Helia took it and I pulled him inside. "Hey beautiful," Helia whispered in my ear. I giggled and pulled away from him. "Not when Rose is here." I berkata sternly but gently. Helia nodded and planted a ciuman on my cheek. "Flora?" I heard Rose behind me.
I turned around to see her standing with her arms crossed over her chest. "Who's this Flora?" She asked, tilting her head with eyebrows arched. I blushed. "This is Helia, Rose. The man I told anda earlier." "Figures," Rose said, glancing at how Helia held me with an arm around my waist as I turned to her. I looked at Helia and held his stare to see if he understood what I was saying. After several seconds, I felt Helia's arm release me and I relazed.
I sighed and gave Rose a smile. "Sorry Rose." I apologized. "Helia's just glad to see me." "I can see that." Rose said, giving Helia a look. I began to feel as if I didn't know Rose anymore. I mean, what's wrong with her? "Rose, I thought anda were happy earlier that I talked to anda that he was coming." I said, slowly. "Well, oleh the looks of you, I don't see why I have to be happy." I didn't know what to say. I felt like Rose had cut me deeply with a carved knife, straight into my chest and she left me dying. "Anyway, where's Chatta?" Rose asked, distracting me.
"She's in my room...why?" I asked. "I need to talk to her." Rose explained, but before she could skip away to my room, I reached for her small wrist. Rose looked down at my hand on hers and slowly made eye contact with mine. "Rose..." I trailed off as I released my hand on hers. "I know anda trust me, but I trust Helia too. He loves me." Rose pursed her lips. After a short while, Rose finally spoke. "Fine then." she said, sounding like she was giving in too easily. "I trust Helia just as much as you. Happy now?" Rose berkata sarcastically. "Rose, I'm not forcing you." "I know that Flora." Rose berkata and gave me a ciuman on the cheek before she skipped to my room.
I bit my lip as I ran a hand through my hair. "I'm sorry about that Helia." I said, heaving a sigh. "It's okay." Helia said, coming up to me and holding my hands with his. "It'll take time." Helia berkata gently. I nodded. "I know." I said, looking down. "It's just...Rose has never acted this way before. It's like a dark wave had washed over her and suddenly made her become like that." "Don't think like that Flora. I bet Rose's just going to think through what anda berkata and when she comes back,she'll be back to her normal self again."
"I hope you're right, Helia." I berkata and Helia gave me a reassuring hug. Just then, the front door opened all of a sudden and almost quickly, I pulled out of Helia's embrace with embarrassment. It was my Mom Dahlia Hathaway who stood on the steps to the front door. "Hello darling!" she cried, brushing away a strand of her ebony brown locks.
Dahlia was holding the shopping bags in her hands and it looked pretty heavy, oleh the size. "Let me help, Mom." I said, going towards her and taking three bags from her hands. "Thank anda Flora." Dahlia smiled, just noticing Helia behind me. I noticed her dark blue eyes widened at the sight of Helia and she smiled, amost blushing with her actions.
"Flora...who is this young man?" Dahlia asked. "His name's Helia Mom, and he's my boyfriend." I explained without hesitation. I didn't even blush from the beginning. "Helia? What a wonderful name for a handsome young man. It's so good to meet anda Helia." Dahlia walked up to Helia who extended his hand to shake hers.
Dahlia recieved it and shook his. "It's good to meet anda too, Mrs. Hathaway." Helia berkata politely. "Why, you're such a gentleman Helia. Are anda staying for the night atau until dinner? I would cinta to cook anda some breakfast." Dahlia smiled. "I'm here for Rose's party but seeing that Rose doesn't seem satisfied to see me this morning, I feel as if I'm a burden to her." At this, I widened my eyes, just like Dahlia. Was Helia serious? Did he really feel like a burden to Rose?
"Don't mind Rose, Helia." Dahlia berkata waving a hand at Helia. "Did anda have breakfast?" Helia shook his head, no. "No, Mrs. Hathway. I just quickly got here to Linphea since school at Red air mancur is over for the summer." "Wonderful! Then anda can stay and have breakfast with me and Flora. Flora, help me with breakfast. Helia, anda may help if anda like." "I'd be happy to, Mrs. Hathaway." "Call me Dahlia." Dahia berkata while walking into the kitchen. Helia watched me walk up to him and give him a berwarna merah muda, merah muda shopping bag. I smiled and then turned to follow Dahlia.
After several menit of making pancake and daging babi asap, bacon and egg on toasts, Helia, Dahlia and I sat down with content as the aroma of daging babi asap, bacon and eggs filled our noses.
It mencium tender. "It tastes great Mom!" I smiled at Dahlia. Dahlia smiled and looked at Helia who was eating it deliciously as well. "How do anda like it Helia?" she asked, sounding hopful. I looked at Helia. He smiled at my mom. "Very 'bon appetite' Dahlia." he komentar on the pancake we all made. At that, Dahlia laughed. Her laugh was like bells ringing on a wedding hari and was as soft as velvet, like mine."Why, thank anda Helia. That is very thoughtful of anda to say that about our cooking."
Suddenly, a door slammed shut upstairs and stomps came along with it. I turned around in my chair and saw Rose standing near the dapur door and it was to my surprise because I didn't hear her footsteps. "Hi Rose, come have breakfast with us. We made your favorit pancake with stroberi jam." I smiled at that. Rose huffed and stormed past us, walking towards the fridge and yanked it open with so much force, I was worried that it would fling across the small room. "Rose, what are anda doing?" I asked scared.
Rose shot me a look. "Grabbing something to eat. Duh," she rolled her eyes at me and reached inside the fridge for something before walking away from us all. Dahlia didn't say anything while we ate and I had lot of things running through my mind. Some thoughts had to do with Rose, like how she ended like how she was now. After breakfast, I washed the dishes with Helia drying them, just to leave my mom to have some rest. "Flora..." Helia began as I was finishing up the sink with the sponge. I didn't look at Helia.
"Flora, talk to me." Helia said, sounding almost desperate. I still didn't say atau look at him, not until I felt his hand on my free wrist that was at my side, and he made me look at him with a gentle forefinger under my chin. He saw tears watering my eyes and he knew it was Rose, almost immediately. He pulled me gently towards him and he embraced me with a warm hug. Tears flowed freely down my tanned cheeks, wetting Helia's shirt, as I wrapped my arms around his neck as I was pulled to him. "Oh Helia...Rose's changed. She's never been like this and I told you." I sobbed.
I felt like a huge wave had washed over me and made me mandi, shower down with tears. "Shh, Flora. You'll be alright. Rose will be fine. I just know it." "B-but...Helia," I snifled and looked up at his face. "What if..." A horror-struck thought flashed in my mind. "What if...what?" Helia asked me.
"What if...my sister's nature is becoming...evil?" I asked.
