Damon had brought her down stairs and laid her on the sofa as she slept.
"How can he be out in the day? He doesn't wear a ring." Damon's back was to Stefan and I. He was watching Alexa.
"The ear ring." I whispered.
Damon turned to me, one eyebrow raised.
"He has one ear peirced. It's the ear ring. It has to be."
"Why did she think it was a dream?" Stefan asked and Damon turned his attention back to Alexa.
"She's on sleeping pills." I sighed and sat down at the bar. "School is stressing her out, so to help her sleep Dr. Bennett put her on sleeping pills."
"Why didn't we hear her scream?" Damon's voice
"Maybe...."Stefan hesitaded, not wanting to say his words. "Maybe, something was keeping her from screaming. Like a gag atau his hand."
Damon's head turned to the side not wanting to look at us. He looked back to Alexa then hung his head.
Slowly he walked over to where she laid on the sofa. He stood over her and swiped his finger from her ear to the corner of her mouth. "There's a mark." He whispered. "It was a gag." His finger traced down to her neck where two little berwarna merah muda, merah muda scars were already forming. His hand clenched into a fist and slowly he relaxed.
"He won't be back tonight." He walked back over to us, hands in pockets, his eyes on the floor. "Tomorrow night we will take shifts watching." His eyes flickered to Stefan, then to me.
The pain in his eyes was lebih than barable. I ran to him and wrapped my arms around his neck, my cheek to his kerah bone. I felt his fourhead on my hair as held held on to me.
"I'll stay awake tonight." Stefan said. "Her room is right beside mine."
"Thank you, Stefan." I turned in Damon's arms.
He nodded and walked past us and up the stairs.
"We'll get him." I whispered to Damon, caressing the side of his face in one of my hands. "Then anda can kill him."
"What I would give, to be able to do that right now." He growled.
"Well," I kissed him. "Why don't anda release your anger," I kissed him again. "another way."
He pressed down on my lips and groweld again as I giggled beneath the kiss.
Stefan
I'm not doing this for Damon. Not after what he did. I will never forgive him for it. Ever. I'm doing this for Elena and Alexa. She's not safe. The other vampire are the Andrews' and their son is dating Alexa.
He forced her, and she thought it was all a dream. There are marks, on her face, from the gag he used to
I could feel the pen cracking and snapping in my hand.
...to keep her from screaming. That's why none of us heard her. Because of the gag. Because we weren't listening. We are going to keep a watch on her, taking shifts.
Seeing Elena brought back all the pain I fianlly learned to handle. Every thing I had to did, every night I stayed up telling myself he was what she wanted, every hari of telling myself she was happy, now means nothing.
She grabbed my hand, and I felt the soft skin I had once touched before. Something I thought I would never feel again. I will have to go through all the pain of leaving her all over again when I leave for Italy. I may stay in Italy. It might help keep my mind off her. But I don't think anything could keep her off my mind.
She will still be there tomorrow, selanjutnya week, selanjutnya decade, selanjutnya centery. Her face, her smell, her touch, her voice. I crave her company hari after day, hoping someday she will come back to me. But I know she's married to Damon, has a sixteen tahun old daughter with Damon. Has a life with Damon, and I will not take that away from her. I will only hope just as I do every other day.
I walked to the trash can in the bathroom and opened my hand. The small peices of my now crushed pen fell with plinks to the bottom along with a few tears.
I climbed into the tempat tidur and laid my head on the pillow. Her scent still lingered from the earlier cleaning of the room she did. I grabbed the bantal beneath my head and threw it across the room shoving my palms into my eyes.
I tried to shove against the tears, only for them to seep under my hands and down my face.
There was a knock at my door and I got up throwing my bantal back onto its spot and opened the door.
"Stefan." Elena whispered and touched the tear that ecsaped my eye. "Oh, Stefan."
She threw her arms around me and I wrapped my arm around her waist and held her head to my chest. I knew this would make it harder for me. Much harder. But she was something I couldn't resist. I held her and felt her own tears soak a spot on my shirt.
"Whay are anda crying?" I asked and pulled her back.
"I hurt you. I left a scar, anda will never heal. I killed you, Stefan." She wimpered.
"No." I took her face in my hands. "You saved me. From everything. anda helped me get over Kathrine, made me make peace with my brother for once. anda saved me Elena. Don't ever forget that."
She closed her eyes, and another tear rolled down her cheek. I whiped it away with my thumb and she looked up at me. She smiled slightly and stood on her toes to ciuman my cheek before walking back down the hall to my brother. My loathed brother.
