Claire refused to write Doug out of her life, even though she eventually learned the truth about who he was; that he was one of the four Townie men who'd knocked over her bank and taken her hostage only two days before. This, in my opinion, is not a healthy, normal kind of cinta at all, and Claire clearly suffers from the Stockholm Syndrome.
