The selanjutnya morning when I got up I took a shower, in one of their fancy, million button showers.

I kept it simple though, I pulled on a brown tee shirt, I don’t know something about color was comforting and then I pulled on jeans and tenis shoes, I despised boots.

I went out to the dining room table, Pranet and Winnie were the only ones up yet, I sat selanjutnya to Pranet, my ally.

“So Pranet tells me you’ve already decided on ally choices. Let me guess. District two?”

“No not at all”, Pranet berkata to her.

“Oh.”

“She wants the threes, a four, the fives, a six, a ten, a eleven, and the twelve’s”

“Wow ten people?”

“Well some may not want to gabung and some will die in the blood bath.”

She raised her thin eyebrows and spooned some oatmeal into her mouth.

Elisabeth joined shortly her hair so perfect, she was just so beautiful.

“Excited for training”, she asked?

I shrugged; I was going to have to pull away from the bows and arrows station.

Pranet said, “I need to practice on camouflage and my knots.”

“I’m going to go to the blow gun station, knots, hand to hand combat, and fishing section.”

“Well we can do that all together then”, Pranet said, “and get all our prospect tributes.”

I nodded and Thayer came out and Winnie sat up straight and puffed her chest up to make her bosom bigger.

Thayer smiled at me and I blushed.

Pranet looked at me and brushed it off; he thought I was just an embarrassed girl I had done the same thing I supposed to him.

When it was time to go we went out to the field.

The district twos were already there waiting for us.

The boy smiled and headed towards us and said, “We allies?”

I was about to say no when Pranet said, “of course.”

He smiled and said, “Practice we’ll cari for other tributes.”

Pranet nodded and he Baylor walked away and I looked at Pranet and said, “What was that?”

“We need to make them think their on our side, I have a plan.”

“And that would be?”

“We pretend to be on their side, they won’t hurt us, we tell our allies to run from the cornucopia and we’ll get the supplies, the careers won’t attack us then and we can go find our allies.”

It was smart; Pranet was always smart, smarter than me.

“Good plan.”

He got that cocky smile on his face and said, “thank you.”

I elbowed him playfully.

I threes came down and I smiled and watched them head for the bows and arrows.

“Let me do this one.”

He smiled and said, “of course.”

I followed them and grabbed the bow and arrow, they glanced at me and I shot the panah and hit the bull’s eye, simple.

The male smiled and said, “You’re good.”

“Yea, practiced for years.”

“Hmm…”

“So I was wondering if you’d like to be allies”, I said.

“Both of us the girl”, whispered?

I nodded.

“We don’t partner with careers.”

“I’m not a career, me and my partner, Pranet are double crossing the careers, saying were their allies, so that we can run for the cornucopia and get all the supplies and our other allies can run away and we’ll go find anda then, and we wouldn’t be attacked oleh them.”

I saw a glaze over his gray eyes, he was thinking it over, he was smart, and all people from three were.

“Okay. What do anda say Elodie?”

“I think it’s good”, she said.

She seemed thirteen much younger than Weston who looked maybe seventeen.

She looked up to Weston and I said, “Do anda guys know each other?”

“Yea she’s my best friends little sister.”

Why did this tahun have to be so bad?

“Were trying to get one of the district fours”, I berkata pointing to Pranet who was talking to the blonde male four.

“And the fives, one of the sixes, a ten, an eleven, and the twelve’s.”

Weston nodded and said, “Okay, a decent group.”

I found the fives at the knot tying station; the twins were close, depressed. Who wouldn’t be?

I helped the girl with one of her knots and she smiled at me, “thank you”, she croaked.

“No problem.”

She turned away and I said, “I was wondering if anda two would like to be allies?”

“You want to be allies with us”, the girl asked innocently?

“Yes.”

“Oh well then sure, that’d be quite alright. Wouldn’t it Brylee?”

The boy nodded and said, “Yes, thank you. Are anda allies with anyone else?”

“Yes, well I’m pretend allies with the careers and real allies with my partner, anda guys, and the threes.”

“Oh nice.”

I nodded and moved on to the hand to hand combat.

I faced off both twelve’s, I beat the girl three times, but only beat the boy two times out of three.

“So I was wondering, if anda two would like to be allies?”

“Sure”, berkata the girl.

The boy looked me over and said, “Why?”

“You seem smart”, I berkata a bit offended.

“Smart?”

“Yes.”

“So you’re not a career?”

“They think I am but I’m not, I’m allies with my partner, the threes, the fives, and anda guys if anda say yes.”

“Fine”, he said, “but if anda double menyeberang, salib me I’ll slit your throat.”

I nodded and headed over to the fishing station where Pranet was.

“Any luck”, I asked?

“No’s from the four and six, the four wants to be on their own and the six has joined the careers, but I got the ten and the eleven. What about you?”

“I got the fives, the threes, and the twelve’s”, I said.

“Good that means we have eight, well ten, counting us.”

“Yea it’s a lot.”

He bit his lip and said, “a little risky but some will die. Won’t they?”

“I don’t want to think about that.”

He nods and says “yea me neither.”


The selanjutnya morning was the private sessions, Pranet was first, he left, and then it was my turn and I went out.

The game keepers waited.

I grabbed the bows and arrows and shot, hitting a bulls eye every time and then I finally shot one into the air and caught it at its tail. It was one of the tricks I had learned from practicing so much.

They clapped and sent me off.

“How did anda do”, Pranet asked?

“Good I did my famous panah catching trick and shot many pulls eyes.”

He laughed and said, “Well good.”

“What about you”, I said.

“Threw some knives and cut some dummies heads off.”

I laughed and elbowed him.

That night Thayer sat selanjutnya to me and whispered in my ear, “you do well?”

“I believe so”, I berkata back.

“Ready for your private session with me tomorrow?”

“Thayer.”

“I’m just kidding.”

I didn’t believe him.

That night I wandered for a bit and ran into Thayer, who seemed to own night now.

“So did anda come looking for me atau is this just a surprise meeting?” he asked.

“Surprise.”
He smiled moved meneruskan, ke depan and said, “you do know that the night before wasn’t fake right?”

“Sure.”

He stepped meneruskan, ke depan and kissed me putting his hand in my hair and pushed me again the counter and held me close and kissed me intensely.

I wrapped my arms around him and held him to me and let my lips pindah with his.

He pulled me into his room and kissed me from above.

I pulled off his shirt, but that was all, and then he fell aside and I curled up beside him, head against his chest, his arms around me, and I fell asleep, silent, and in the dark.

I woke up selanjutnya to him and kissed his cheek, he was so handsome.

He stirred and pulled me in around the waist and said, “Stay.”

I whispered, “I’m not going anywhere.”

He opened his eyes and smiled and said, “Good.”

I lay down and looked at his face and he said, “I need anda to win.”

“A lot of people want that.”

“Like who?”

“My brother and Pranet.”

“He doesn’t want to win?”

“If it means me dying. No.”

“Why?”

“His dad’s dead he misses him lebih than anything.”

He sighed; he had once felt the same way.

“I don’t know how much lebih I can lose.”

“That’s my brother’s reason”, I said.

“Yea he lost Austin in the games eleven years ago.”

“Yea he was only thirteen.”

“That was the tahun the girl from three won. Right?”

“Yes”, I berkata burying my head in his chest.

He kissed my hair and said, “You’re so beautiful.”

I laughed and said, “You are too.”

“Beautiful?”

“Yea.”

I could feel the warmth radiate in him as he pulled me closer and the covers tighter.

I started to fall asleep again but just as he did he said, “I really think your going to make me cinta you.”

And then he slept.
