who should play katniss in the movie?

ABOSLUTELY NO disney atau Twilight. Perhaps someone unknown, not common, atau new even! A fresh face would be nice for a change. Camille Belle seems like an okay option, but isn't she a bit too old?

As much as I'd like a new actress to play Katniss, I think Lucy Hale would be a good Katniss because she looks what I imagined Katniss to be and she is a great actress. She looks alot like 16 and it feels like she could portray Katiss well. So I think Lucy Hale would be a great choice because she isn't too well known like some.

i think Annasophia Robb should play Katniss! she's of perfect age! if she dyed her hair brown, she'd definitely fit the image

An unknown definitely! I just can't see Anna as her. I never pictured Katniss as completely white. Camilla's too old. I think she needs to be someone that looks 16 and is zaitun with natural dark brown hair because not all light haired girls can look like they have natural dark hair. I don't really care about whether she has gray eyes because there's always contacts. And I just hope that it's an unknown because a known actress would take away from the film.

Obviously, a new face would be perfect. I know Katniss is supposed to be skinny, but dont anda think she should look a little athletic too? She has been running and climbing trees her whole life, she cant b just all skin and bone. And isnt she supposed to have a height in the 5'2"-5'5" range? I always pictured her looking a little younger than she actually is. So, maybe getting someone a little younger to play her wont be so bad, especially if they continue making the series into a movie. Then as they continue the actor wont "out grow" the part.

i think Elizabeth Gillies would make a good Katniss. I know a lot of people will hate her just because shes on Nickelodeon but hear me out. In my mind, she looks like the Katniss i pictured. Though she can use a little bit of a tan. She can act and sing, which is important. She's 17 and she can pull off from being a sweet girl to a "female dog". She's not really that well known, which a lot of people seem to want. And most importantly, she has this fierce look to her. I think the fierce look is important because Katniss tries to tampil she's tough and she hates the Capital.

Well I think someone that has grayish eyes, medium height, skinny, black long hair, very pretty.

I reckon it should be someone who does Archery. So that they could spare the expense of classes. Yeah I don't no. New face for sure. Hate it when actors who have been in several things and then take the part of a character. Its just not...right. lebih believable if its a new face.

I want to play her!!!! But so does every girl in the world (ok, that may not be true...some people may not be too keen on the whole "near death experiances" thing). I'm a fair shot with a bow, if that counts for anything. I do think it should be someone unknown though. No matter how good the actress is, if she's known for something else already, that's all we're gonna see when she's Katniss.

honestly, i know that alot of people want to play her, but i think id be a good katniss.
the only thing is that i have brown eyes, but i have the perfect zaitun skin and long natural brown hair.
i also have a pretty face and am skinny.

I agree on assigning unknown actors, but if they chose current actors, I think Christian Serratos (even though she's on Twilight XP) atau Victoria Justice fit Katniss's keterangan of "long straight sleek black hair, zaitun skin and gray eyes" pretty well. For Peeta, perhaps Alex Pettyfer atau Jeremy Sumpter? Not sure about that one as well as for Gale. Maybe Ben Barnes, but he's a bit old. Hope my suggestions aren't way off, haha :) I apologize if they are.

I kinda think I would be a good Katniss, I doubt I would ever actully get the part but eh. Any one know where auditions are? I would cinta to auditon :) I absolutley cinta the Hunger Games :)

I really want to play Katniss Everdeen and I've had some experiance in akting and such but I don't know where atau when to try out.....and If I can't be Katniss I think your right, someone new should play Katniss....

I know a lot of anda guys out there want to be Katniss, Rue, & Prim, & EVERYONE DESERVES A CHANCE TO TRY OUT!! Here are some tips that wil help anda get the part.
Take akting classes,
bernyanyi classes, & also maybe something like dancing, atau playing an instrument/instruments. They will be looking for unknowns for the main characters but they will need to have talents.
Also, look at your else over & see who anda look like. Some directors won't even let anda audition if anda don't look like that character. I know anda can dye your hair atau get a spray tan, but they will be wanting natural & if anda have blonde hair and white skin, anda might not look good with zaitun skin & black hair. Not alot of people care about the eyes because there's contacts. Also, I fyou want to be either Katniss atau Rue, climb some trees, do archery, get in shape!

I think that Jessica Stroup should play Katniss in the Hunger Games movie. She has the dark hair, and almmond shaped eyes. She's perfect.
