The Most Upsetting Part of Mockingjay For Me . . .

. . . was the part on page 339, with the little girl in the yellow coat. Here's her parts:

"I can't, but I've caught the eye of an inquistitive-looking little girl in a lemon yellow coat."

" 'We might need to membagi, split up,' I say under my breath. 'There's a girl---' "

"The little girl who was watching me kneels beside a motionless woman, screeching and trying to rouse her. Another wave of bullets slices across the chest of her yellow coat, staining it with red, knocking the girl onto her back. For a moment, looking at her tiny crumpled form, I lose my ability to form words. Gale prods me with his elbow. 'Katniss?' "

For some reason, out of all the deaths in the trilogy, the yellow mantel girl's death has always been stuck in my head. Maybe it was how innocent she was and how tragic her death was, maybe because what its toll was on Katniss, not being able to really speak. Anyone would lose their innocence, atau in Katniss' case what innocence remained, after seeing something like that.

I hope the Mockingjay director adds that in. Just to see the girl's blood stained coat, Katniss' expression, I think it would really hit home, startle, and amaze the viewers.

To me there where several things that upset me about the book. The main one is how rushed the book felt. To me the way she wrote this book felt like she rushed through it to get it done. Like when she was done she was glad to have it over with but gaver no thought to her audience. Also I feel she did a great disservice to young girls everywhere oleh taking what could be a very powerful female character and making her so frail and weak. I really wish the penulis would have taken her time and though about what she could have done with these books.

I agree with you. I also think that when Peeta returns and is shouting at her is really sad. Also when Katniss yells at Buttercup, "She's dead anda stupid cat! She's dead!"

I agree that that should be in the movie, as a symbolic sort of thing.

I'm not sure if that was the most upsetting part of Mockingjay for me personally, but I do agree that that should be included. atau at least something similar-good idea!

There were a lot of deaths throughout the book that really upset me. Finnick's did, him being my favourite character and all, but I found it really underwhelming. I really wish he got a better death :c

Prim's death struck really close to halaman awal for me because I have a younger sister who was the same age as Prim at the time I read the book (I was Katniss' age). My younger sister also looks a great deal how Prim was described in the books. It just really disturbed me because I kept picturing my sister in her place :(

Madge's death confirmed was really upsetting as well. I just had this glimmer of hope that through some miracle, despite how bad things were, something amazing would happen and she'd survive. Finding her skeleton in the remnants of her house made me cry for basically the hundredth time whilst membaca this series.

Tbh the only part that put me in a puddle of tears was when Katniss was yelling at buttercup about Prims death. I kept me up ALL NIGHT LONG crying I ended up sleeping with my sis. The part where she died just shocked me but didn't have an affect like this part. And also just like Katniss and prim I'm 17 like Katniss and my sis looks just like prim blue eyes long wavy blond hair and she's 13. It reminds me to much of her.

I don't think we saw her death, but she did appear in the movie, played oleh Elle Graham, mantel and everything. We saw her mother's death and her screaming for her to get up, but I don't think we saw her actually die.

I think the most upsetting aspect of Mockingjay for for me was how permanently broken Peeta was oleh the capitol. He was hijacked so badly that he never fully recovered. Of course he was Peeta, but it just felt like the sebelumnya two buku had become irrelevant, as if his memory had been wiped (which I suppose it was). Katniss and Peeta had just managed to build a strong and healthy relationship, and realised their feelings for each other. When Peeta was taken, all of that was taken away with him. They completely had to rebuild everything. I cinta how the ending is realistic and isn't all 'running into the sunset' like, but I'm still sad that the old Peeta never quite returned.
